I would expect Sainsbury to press ahead. With perhaps a council/investor funded stadium built alongside at RH or a stand alone facility at FF.

Not ideal but I could live with that. Still perhaps tomorrow will go ok and we begin another 'upward spiral':winking:

If I did not have my football I will take up cookery lessons in preparation for applying for masterchef

I would not tell the wife if the club folded, would then be able to spend more time in the pub. :winking:

May even go into the Blue Boar and start dreaming of starting a new club.

Probably start getting serious about golf. Could say I would help out forming a new club but why lie because I wouldn't. Don't live in area anymore and if we did go so would my interest in domestic football which would be a shame as I already have given up on the international toss pots.

No idea if this has been mentioned !
Ask Southend Manor if they would like a nifty 5000 capacity ground and in return the club are called Southend AFC Manor,Prob cost a million quid for decent fencing ,Large covered stand and large terracing behind both goals,Could easily see this club with decent support tear through the leagues.

That lot would cost far more than 1 million.

I am going to assume that there would be no Southend or reformed Southend for the sake of my answer.

I think I would take up saturday management. Something I have always fancied and never had the time to do and then I might also head to some randon local non-leagues games from time to time. Short of Southend fallen out of love with football to a degree at the higher levels.

Not sure what I'd do or how i'd feel as my enthusiasm has been gradually eroded after the recent years of mismanagement. A new start under new management may just rekindle my enthusiasm regardless of what League we are in.

Really cant agree with that. How can going bust be better than enduring a few years of hardship and things getting sorted out?

There are plenty of teams out there who went into administration and turned things around. It may be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but there is still a possibility things will improve.

I know what your saying and yes your right a few teams have pulled themself together but always with new ownership.
There are two ways Ron is leaving this club 1, death and 2. if wee go bust

It would be the worst thing to happen to the club, and if you think people who dont want to watch league two football will suddenly come back to watch non-league football then you will be in for a nasty shock, this seasons attendances will be something to dream about if it ever happened.

I meant the people who have stayed away due to Ron those who had to tighten there belts all other reason other then football.
But I personally feel going bust starting again would bring back a buzz around the football club and think it would be a happier place

When Manor wanted senior league status there were many objections from locals to the small enhancements that had to be made to Southchurch park then.
I was the treasurer of the Athletic club, at the time , and we were involved in the joint building of the clubhouse and the local residents were far from pleased at that, I seem to recall that when they tried to upgrade the Floodlights later they were knocked back.
Southchurch park is not an option for a team in the pyramid
