I believe it would be the Blue Square South but not 100% so please correct me if I'm wrong. There are FL rules about such an event though if anyone wants to depress themselves.

Unless we could do a deal with a lot of brown envelopes and used fivers, we'd start at the bottom of the pyramid.

But is AFC Wimbledon not slightly different, as they chose to start a new club while the original was (technically) still running...similar to FC United of Manchester.

True, but as it is a completely new club I would have thought there would be no connection to SUFC.

It would still be a new club, new entity - so start at the very beginning, it's a very good place to start.

The only way the club could be "reformed" and not start at the bottom of the pyramid is in the form of a takeover. If all the assets (sic) and operations were sold to a new owner and the "football club" was sold as a going concern, then we would continue to play at our current level. If Southend United FC ceases to exist then even if the phoenix club retains Roots Hall it would still have to start at the bottom of the pyramid (Space permitting).

I think Id probably lose interest in football if SUFC was liquidated. Dont know if I could bear to watch non-league.

Just had a browse on the FA website and got this quote:

Link: http://www.thefa.com/~/media/Files/...f-the-association/national-league-system.ashx

6.3 If a Club (whether a Members’ Club or a Company) is wound up, liquidated, ceases to trade or is removed from its League or withdraws from football competition (‘the Former Club’),
and then wishes to establish a new Club (‘the New Club’) and be placed within the NLS
other than as set out in Regulation 5.3, then unless otherwise determined by the LC, it will
be allowed to make an application only to join a League/division at step 5 of the NLS

So we would join at step 5 (Essex Senior League).

I don't know what I'd do. Maybe lose interest in football altogether. Maybe after a period of mourning I'd get behind an AFC Southend. It doesn't bear thinking about tbh.

I'd cheer on whoever I was betting on that week.

If SUFC went tits up that'd be me done with actually supporting a team in England

I think I'd try and complete the 92 grounds with my son first and then it wouldmeither be AFC Southend or my local club, Chelmsford City

Personally think going bust and starting again would be the best thing that could happen to us.

Ok it would have to be in a much lower league but we would have a clean slate and a fresh start.

I also think we would see many fans who have stayed away come back into the grind/

Imagine the tour around all these random clubs

Nowhere to play though. Sainsburys would be on Roots Hall like a shot.

yes RH would be taken from us in a flash but the level of football we would be playing we would only need something from the Eessex olympian league with rope/barrier round the pitch.

We would easiler find a "ground"
