Desperate times, call for desperate measures. ​

Much has been said about the ownership and shareholding of Southend United. ​


Ron is the majority shareholder, that is the crux of our problems. But, where do his business interests lie. Who really owns the club, the ground (Roots Hall), training ground (Boots and Laces), Fossets Farm? Exactly who is selling what?

Ultimately all roads lead to Ron Martin and the Martin family mafia.

What would it cost to hire a private investor or financial auditor to go through the financial dealings of the Martin family. Aim, to uncover any skeletons on their closet, but make it public, ensure Ron and his family know he’s being investigated. Would he go quietly? Is he really clean, has he covered his tracks if not.

The rat must have a few skeletons, and surely this would rattle him…

WE don't, we are a separate case in another league and we publicise out perilous state on every media stream that we can. Those that notice WBA's problems probably won't give a toss about Southend, but both of our MPs and the City Council will, as will other lower league reams that have sympathy for us (Wrexham, York). Time to bombard them with our thoughts.

The Twitter bomb idea for the Wanted poster is definitely our next task, lets spread it like a rash. We may not be able to influence the rodent, but sure as hell the rest of his family will feel very uncomfortable with their patriarch getting rinsed on the web.
 
If you want to bring it to the attention of local people, probably most of whom won't read the sports sections of websites or the local paper how about a march from the Pier entrance to Roots Hall before a match?

You would need a decent number of people, but that way it would be seen by people on the seafront, the High St., as well as the football community.

Depending on the opponents, you might get away fans to participate too. It might even be fun.

I have spoken to a committee member of The Trust today about setting up a Trust page just for contributions for future protests to cover things like leaflets, adverts, posters, printed balloons etc etc .

I’ve had a thought.. if the league fines the club for fan behaviour - that’s money straight out of Ron’s pocket (it’s not as if the club is receiving any money anyway), we could rinse him dry with fines which would do a lot more than boycotting games to financially hinder him. Smoke bombs at every game on the pitch I say.

It brings further shame on him and his family on a national level. Alerts potential buyers who may not even know the club exists.

So what does remove him?
Realistically someone meeting his demands or a bullet.

None of the fans have the money or the connections, so let's just concentrate on what we can do eh, and leave the sarcasm elsewhere.
