I take it maths is not your strong point.

If we had 11,750 against Yeovil a few years ago - 100 seats lost still leaves us with a capacity of more than 11,400.

I also recall that there was a small amount of segregation at Yeovil so stand by my comments that our capacity is closer to 12,000.

I bow to your superior knowledge. Clearly the club website and stadium plans are incorrect. How stupid of me to have believed them

There will always be segregation though, so we will never get that many.

  Spoiler:

11,700 is with literally no segregation at all which was possible against Yeovil has probably one of the most placid fan basis in the country.

Against utd Chelsea and again against Hull Saturday it would be foolish to not have a few hundred seats seperating fans.

Tbh we will probably never see that level of crowd again. Quite simply roots hall doesn't hold 12k+.

Yeovil had 1,600 fans according to this - http://www.thefootballforum.net/index.php?/topic/49751-southend-0-yeovil-1/

We had 11,314 against Chelsea and 11,532 against Man U.

OK the point I am trying to make is that we had 11,750 in the ground a couple of years ago which although almost was not quite our capacity. We have subsequently lost 100 seats next to East blacks so still believe our capacity is 12k.

what an absolute joke regarding the blue voice section, now going to have to get loads of tickets changed into there for my mates who won't be able to get to the ticket office. Really has annoyed me.
ou

If you can't see the big picture about getting as many fans in the ground as possible to see the game and to maximise the revenue for the club, I feel sorry for you.

If anyone wants a ticket, ones of my mates pulled out, so I have a spare ticket for East Black - Block E, H136. Only want face value for it, which is £20.

I'm not touting, just trying to help a fellow shrimper!!

Agreed that this needed to be done to maximise revenue but the club could have avoided this from the start by selling W block as unallocated

TBV all being split up might actually kill the atmosphere, anyone remember this at Wembley?

Jnr

I'm sure with a packed Roots Hall there will be a cracking atmosphere whether TBV all sit together or not.

It might kill the atmosphere, it might not, and I hope it a cracking atmosphere whatever happens with TBV.

However the point is the lads who congregate in W block, and do week in week out do so because they like to watch their football and have a sing with like-minded fellow supporters and are a group of, largely, mates.
They have also been the ones who bought their tickets in good time and took some of the poor view seats to leave better seats for those who wanted them because they were assured that the 'normal' rules would apply and they would be able to vacate those poor seats to congregate together with their usual mates in the usual way and watch the game together as they have all season, be that in W block, or X block, or wherever.
Now they are faced with having three days to fight through the phone system or visit the ground to exchange those tickets if they want to still watch the game together, alternatively they can stick with the poor seats they bought, in good faith, when they bought early enough to have got decent seats.

Sorry, just doesn't seem the right way to treat loyal fans who are there week in and week out.

Personally I think the club never thought this was going to sell out and have got caught with their pants down big time. A lot of the TBV boys thought this would be a problem from day one, that is why they asked the questions, we just obviously made the mistake of believing the answers we were given.

Just hope all the fans who have got the better seats while our guys are sitting behind pillars enjoy the game and we look forward to seeing them all at Daggers next Tuesday or at the Newport game Friday week.......

No our capacity is not 12k as we are not able to achieve that figure. In present form we can get 11400 odd , so that is capacity. All this goes to show how limited as a club we are by staying at roots hall, but not a word from the club on a start date as usual.

Out of interest, how many fans comprise the 'TBV' ?
