I got my mobile phone bill in yesterday, for Millwall and Hull tickets it cost me an extra £30 on top of my monthly payment. I shall think again for round 5!

Clearly not on. A complaint to the club is well in order. You never know, they might give you a free ticket for another game or something.
I do love my club, but I find this ticket phone thing very distasteful. Too many of our fans have been ripped off because of a phone fault. It started ages ago, and yet still not fixed. Some would say they don't want to fix it because of all the extra revenue it is creating. Hhmm.

Went to ticket office earlier today to get an extra ticket for Chesterfield tomorrow. 4 staff there - 1 doing phone calls only.
5 people in queue before me. There was a guy wanting Hull tickets. Conversation went something like this:
Customer " I want 5 together in East Blue" Ticket guy " sorry none available there" Customer " I have a comp ticket in that section and need tickets for my mates there" TG " sorry cant help - there are none available" C "not good enough - find me 5 tickets together" TG "dont think you will get 5 together anywhere now" C " what a joke this club is"
At this point I had got my ticket and left.
My point is - dont think ticket office staff are always to blame for delays. This customer was of course holding up the queue waiting for tickets. Just selfish and I admired the guy serving him for keeping his temper - although dont know what happened after I left!

I agree totally with the above. When i collected my Hull and Dagenham tickets earlier this week similar happend.
Put yourself in the ticket office staff's position. They are subject to a lot of unwarented abuse.
I know a lot of supporters cant buy season tickets due to location and other matters, but it would save most of the problems, that are being enountered.

On another note
I understand Season ticket holders can get there Hull tickets Saturday morn and lunchtime and after the game but the club wont sell them just before the game. Which again i think is correct. Not sure what time the cut of is though.

Of course this would never happen but if no one called up on ticket line and contacted the club in a different way to complain, ie email, phone etc , then I bet the problem gets fixed then.

And I bet that bloke and/or his mates won't go to another game this season. They need to get Phil Brown back on the phones!

Does make you wonder with some people. I agree at times the club does let itself down, but if this guy wants five seats together and this cant be done due to a lack of availability then iuts simply is not possible and in no way the clubs fault. What does he expect for the poor guy in the office to ring people and ask them to move to accommodate one selfish individual?

Stupid question haven't you got a landline or would the cost be the same anyway? Either way that is outrageous mate.

If I phone during the day I have to use my mobile because the work phone can't be used for private calls especially premium rate calls. I expect CV Shrimper was in a similar situation.

I think the phone line to get tickets is a shambles and I dread the problems getting tickets for big matches especially if you don't live locally.

Can't understand why the club hasn't made it possible to purchase tickets online for the game. They seem to have created a lot of extra work for themselves, I remember buying tickets for the Chelsea home game online so its not like they haven't done this before.

Cos the online system cant reserve season tickets holders seats.

Of course it can; otherwise anyone would be able to buy them for any game !!

What it can't do (probably) is sell season ticket holders their seat.

Could have made only non-season ticket holder online by treating it like a League game.

I agree. In any event we are in the 21st century. Any reasonable computer programmer could devise a straightforward system where we can buy all the tickets on line. No queues, no telephone calls, no problems. Tickets can either be posted or collected later. The cynical side of me believes that the premium rate profit on the phone calls may have something to do with it being like it is.

I emailed the ticket office today to buy for Mansfield - got a call back within 30 mins, slight confusion when I was asked to pay £7 for postage then was told I could pick up at Mansfield on the day - job done.

I do think that through all of this, it might be a good idea for the club to consider a late night opening, maybe on a Thursday to give people more of a chance to phone from home or to get down there in person. Maybe something to think of for the future?

Whilst I wouldn't disagree with your suggestion, I think the club should respond to the numerous complaints that are being made which are in the main relating to the poor telephone service and to explain why ALL tickets can't be purchased online provided you are registered with the club as a bona fide supporter.

Have to admit, despite the early suggestions that I was amongst the "ticket crazy" for getting my 4 in the East Green straight away, I'm bloody glad I did.

At least they've changed the on hold message....

Spent 50 minutes on hold, only for my phone signal to drop out when they finally answered... As you can imagine, i wasnt impressed!
Called again just before 5 and the phone was answered inside 10 minutes, so tickets now sorted. They said that they had sold around 8000 tickets as at around 4pm yesterday, and expected most of the season ticket seats to go today before / after today's game.
