Less money -- less chance of everyone being paid. We have been down that road before and got relegated with a non-paid, bad team spirited side.

Indeed, but we had big gates then, and of course bigger salaries.

Certainly money issues could cause issues, but I dont see our current attendances being the main cause and even if we got an extra 1500 people in Im sure we would still be struggling. Our last attendance was 5,000, that level should not be causing us problems in getting promoted.

If we cant get promoted until we get 7000 in the door every week we will be stuck here a long time !

Me

I watched this league football before (and in fact supported RM's appointment) , but stopped going partway through Championship season when I found out what was happening. #gloryhunter.

Have been tempted since, when free tickets offered... but it's more than just not wanting to put money in his pocket. I don't want to show any support to him in any way. More than happy to go away though.

Will you elaborate on this forum what you know?

I dont particularly like Rupert Murdoch, but i have sky.

I couldn't stand Tony Blair, but i never left the country

to be honest i would go and watch Southend for purely selfish reasons i.e. I wanted to do. Players/Managers/Chairmen come + go the only constant is my willingness to go and watch my team.

I have to be honest, I don’t understand this. I support the team, not the chairman. If we are losing £60,000 a month or whatever the figure is, isn’t he supporting the club more than I ever could with my season ticket money?
We are little Southend no history (one win against Man U and a couple of promotions) we are not going to attract big investment, unless a true fan becomes a billionaire. The Lotto Euro draw isn’t enough so don’t bother thinking that will do. So the best we can do is keep paying out season tickets or match day tickets.

Excellent examples sir.

I don't particularly like Ron Martin but I've never stopped loving Southend United FC.

Love Southend but with the way things have been I have opted to stay away for the time being to much unrest at the club and all the stuff behind the scenes is a real downer. I would rather watch us away from home when its like all that is forgotten and every fan gets behind the team
