I come from a land down under
The question is pretty simple. After Ron had a little meeting with Phil, how many games does he have before changes are made?

Currently the team has lost seven of their last eight matches and is currently on a six game losing run.

I know it is one game into the season but last years finish was damning and horrible for Brown.

If he doesn't turn it around I fear Ron may make a decision quick smart.

I have it at 10 games and he at least needs 3 wins.

I just asked a similar question on another thread! It's always 10 games for me and if the signs aren't there then make a change. Very keen to see what people think Ron's 'number' is rather than their own though.

I'd we are being humbled week in week out and come Christmas time are in the brown stuff. Knowing Ronald he will already be keeping one eye on other out of work managers. Phil can't say he hasn't been backed.

I'd say between 10/15 games into the season, if we're flirting with relegation then get rid of Phil and try some new ideas. We shouldn't be around the bottom of the table with the attacking talent we've got especially if we get Simpson in.

If the 2nd half of Saturday is replicated in the next few games, then he might only have until the end of August....

I reckon if things are looking bleak around the end of October then he's off. That gives a new man some time to come in and assess where he wants to change and make those changes in Jan

I think Ron will act sooner rather than later; if we conceded 3 at Port Vale and Sheff U then the game after that could be crunch time.

If we haven't won by early-mid September & performances and the fans are making their feelings known at a home game then he'll go then.

I agree i think Ron is pretty good at supporting managers and is not one to do a quick fire sacking.

I reckon Phil has as many games left as Ron gives him. That number of games will depend on the next xx games we get points from. If Chris Phillips is correct then it's reasonable to assume that the meeting RM and PB had on Sunday has set the clock running on results and improvements. Brown isn't stupid, despite what a lot on here think. His contract will have made it difficult for Ron to let him go without costing a fair bit. The need to get a CB and Simpson in has become vital and I'm guessing PB will be doing all he can to make new signings happen urgently.

How many games does he have? Ask Ron or Phil, of course they will tell you!

Ron has done the "Chairman's vote of confidence" bit & now it is up to PB AND the squad. The players will show if they want to play for PB or not. If things continue with the heads dropped low and general lack of positive response then Phil is really in trouble. Has he lost the dressing room already?
Ron will be putting together his Plan B for sure.

Indeed so, hence why Brown is still in a job at the moment. If Ron was trigger happy Brown would have been fired by the end of last season given the last three months of the campaign.

In a normal season 10 games minimum, but after the tail end of last season if we havent seen any improvement after 5 games I think he will be gone.
