Question How do you know that you are not gay??

I am massively attracted to the female form and do not find the male for attractive at all.......but, there are many men who have said that and meant it but then found out that they are gay.

I know I am not gay purely for the fact I am comfortable with my sexuality, I can have a good laugh and a joke. Have never been sexually attracted to another man, so can confidently say I am not gay. However I suppose I can't say with 100% certainty that I won't suddenly wake up some day in the future having changed sexuality. I very much doubt it though, I would suggest that many people who have lived a 'straight' life (maybe even with a wife and kids) before coming out have previously supressed their homosexual feelings - which they could have done for a number of reasons. Times are changing but I can only imagine that coming out must be a very hard thing to do and some people may have decided that it was easier living a lie.

I'm no expert, I've had colleagues who've become friends that are gay but have never really had an in-depth discussion about their sexuality. Why should I really? They were work mates who I socialised with over a few beers after 5, I've never really had deep and meaningful conversations with those type of friends be they straight or gay. So my opinions on this are based on speculation - it would be good if we have openly gay people who post on here that could give more of an insight. I don't actually know of any regular SZ posters who are openly gay though, so don't know if we will get a serious and reasoned answer to the question from such a person. I can't imagine that overall this messageboard would be the most sympathetic place to 'come out' - but I could be wrong.
