From my understanding, around 3 highly rated players handed their resignation. We cannot fault them really. They aren’t getting paid and most likely will walk as free agents in 2 weeks time.
Regardless if true or not it doesn't really change our situation right now off the field.

Well firstly just shows how remembering to focus on the important stuff on here as well as rumours, however exciting, can get noticed and deliver a response/information. And actually whilst some of this has not perhaps been validated/believed/fully understood (delete as appropriate) previously from disparate club communications I think coming from SBC actually in a few areas gives some comfort.

Of course, they point out that the decision is outstanding as they are waiting for information from glorious leader. So back to him & particular to confirm that this is not holding up any bridging loans. Further, these things are not as clear as might seem- one party asks for information, other party provides, goal posts move or not, further or different information is required, and so on and so forth. So it would nonetheless be quite an assumption to believe the delays are all down to Ron (to be fair- which I know is strictly verboten). Anyhow, SBC are clear it's not their fault... (hold the front page..)

Edit: BTW does it suggest that the original approval means we can get on with building the first three sides as the amendment covers main stand and amended housing element? Gives that impression?
Agree with all the good points you're making KB. Can I just add that the revised application is a lengthy and complicated process which requires a lot of professional input and those involved will require payment. Maybe this could also account for (at least some of) the delay ?

The Athletic are reporting that we’ve turned down multiple bids from Notts County for Bridge and that Wrexham are also circling for our players.

So, are we playing hardball on the values of our players, or are wages, old and new, just around the 1st March corner? Bearing in mind both are under contract.

Notts County have seen an attempt to sign Southend United winger Jack Bridge rebuffed — despite the Essex club being gripped by a growing financial crisis.

League leaders Notts have pushed hard to land Bridge as they look to bolster their push for a return to the Football League.

They have made several bids for the 27-year-old and their most recent offer was a significant five-figure sum.

Southend midfielder Cavaghn Miley is meanwhile attracting interest from second-place Wrexham along with Dagenham and Redbridge.

Southend’s reluctance to sell to a play-off rival would not normally be unusual. But the club have so far failed to pay their players or staff their January wages and they have an ongoing case with HMRC, with a further hearing due on March 1, over a debt of £1.4million.

Southend chairman Ron Martin recently told the BBC that raising funds was his “primary focus”.

The club are understood to be seeking a bridging loan of £5m to cover debts. Martin also has ambitions to develop the Roots Hall site, which would be turned into more than 500 new homes, once Southend have moved to a new stadium at Fossetts Farm.

As things stand, Southend would be unable to replace any players sold, due to transfer restrictions that are currently in place because of their financial issues.

A Southend club spokesman said: “We will soon be in much better financial health and we are not selling players.”

Southend regard the offer for Bridge as being below his market value and say there have been no official approaches for Miley.

Notts County, who currently hold a five point lead over Wrexham at the top, host Southend in the National League next Tuesday.

Administration does look real possibility...... from ron perspective he can put the club into administration and still be able to build his empire without the worry of financing a football club and pay off hmrc. I vote for administration.

The choice for admin is not Ron's I do not believe... unless he's allowed to call for it as the club's largest debtor through his companies?
