Have I just done a stupid bet?

My betting tips have been about as good as TTK's of late so they're probably worth mud.

Man U look a good bet. Newcastle have a torrid record at Old Trafford. Spurs is definitely more of a gamble as Portsmouth were unlucky to lose the other day. In theory they should do it but they have been goalshy and all three strikers look short of form.

I'd go Blackburn personally but I don't want to be held responsible!

The way I look at it is I cant see Tottenham being near the bottom for too much longer and are overdue a good performance. Portsmouth were on a good run that was always going to end sometime and it did during the week against Bolton which must of been a right kick in the private parts.

Prediction - 2-0 Spurs

I fancy West Ham aswell. Alright they're playing like a bunch of apes at the moment but like Tottenham, are due a good performance and what a game to do that as its Pardew's old stamping ground. Tevez hasnt scored yet but against Reading I see him breaking his duck.

Prediction - 2-1 West ham

I reckon Blackburn v Wigan will end in a draw. Two pretty poor teams IMO that will cancel eachother out. Glad its not on sky thats all I can say!

Prediction - 1-1

Man Utd will beat Newcastle who will hopefully have Titus Bramble back in the team

Man Utd have a good record against Newcastle and I just think they'll be too strong for them.

Prediction - Comfortable 4-0 win for United

Instead of using the money for a real holiday why not blow a couple of hundred on acid and meths and have a 'virtual' holiday in the privacy of your own skulls, which you will be well and truly out of.
It'll probably last longer as well because normal society will probably think you are total nuts and you'll get sectioned.

Unless you happen to be Pete Doherty of course.

Seriously though I've always found Blackjack down the casino a good little earner, as long as you know when to give up when it's all going a bit tits.

Good call that man.

Difficult to tell which way this Spurs game's going to go. Pompey are definitely in it still but it remains to be seen whether they can build enough possession in Spurs' half. I can't qutie work out why Spurs look so fragile.

If you had gone on my advice, you would have had another uncomfortable 90 mintes by the looks of it. Going a goal down and the missed Todorov penalty!!

I heard that they're evens to lose 3-0 next game

What do you reckon?
Take a word from the wise and quit while your ahead.

I put £25 down on a three way accumulator which was pretty much a given and it came in with £40. I took my £25 back from Eurobet and used the £15 profit to build my empire.

Week by week i backed a few safe home here and there and half way through last season I had amased just over £400 PROFIT from £15. It tooks me ages and loads of crappy wins but win little and often was my moto.

My fridge packed up and Dad of DtS told me to take the gambling money and buy a spanking new oneand have something to show for it. Top advice.

Typical me I knew best. I backed Bentford to beat someone to the tune of £300 and they drew thanks to letting in a last mins penalty.

I tried with my £100 to get back to £400 by placing daft bets like Billy Painter for England and Orient to win a game between now and the end of the world but sadly nothing came in and I ended up at nil.

So take a tip - Your luck will run out ....Take the bookies for a mug and keep your hand in your pocket. Use you £100 to take the Mrs to Disney Land and enjoy it mate.

DtS.

All bets are stupid.

Have you ever walked into a bookies and thought - wow, I am surrounded by personal success stories?

There is a reason the front windows of betting offices were opaque.

Oi, stop it you.

Don't listen to him everyone, keep on lumping on!

A sore point.

I was going to put a tenner on Derby to win 3-0 until I checked the odds and they were a ridiculously short 12-1 (or was it 7-1?) for a long shot correct score.

When I saw Lupoli wasn't listed I was tempted to put a few quid on him as first or last goal-scorer - but he was only 4-1.

The bookies must make a mint on correct score/first scorer bets as the odds seem to always be crap.

A GUARANTEED PROFIT ON WATFORD v FULHAM

The final Premier League game before the season takes another break for internationals takes place on Monday night between Watford and Fulham and we have worked out a great bet that guarantees you a profit on the match, whatever the result.

What we are going to do is back Watford with Betfred. The Betfred bonus of a win on your first bet winnings matched, up to £100 enables us to break even on the match, whatever the result and claim £49 in free bets from the other two companies we are using for nothing.

Here's how it's done. Just follow these simple instructions.

1. Open accounts with Betfred and Sunderlands and Bet 24. This shouldn't take you any longer than ten minutes.

2. Make the following deposits into your new accounts. Deposit £43.00 into your new Betfred account. Deposit £43.30 into your new Sunderlands account. Deposit £48.00 into your new Bet 24 account.

3. Now make the following bets.

Place £43.00 on Watford to win at 11/8 with Betfred.

Place £43.30 on the draw at 21/10 with Sunderlands

Place £48.00 on Fulham at 2.80 (9/5) with Bet 24

You have temporarily laid out a total of £134.30. I stress, temporarily... Now sit back, crack a beer open and enjoy the match.

4. Here's what happens at the end of the game.

If Watford win, you will collect £161.24 from Betfred, including your stake back and your first win bonus.

We've had a few mails recently saying that our figures are wrong because people are forgetting about the Betfred bonus. When you are checking our figures, don't forget that Betfred give you a bonus of up to £100 if your first bet is a winner.

If it's a draw, you will collect £134.23 from Sunderlands, including your original stake returned.

If Fulham win, you will collect £134.40 from Bet 24, including your original stake returned.

Bet 24 will also credit your account with a £24 free bet (50% of your first stake up to £24) and Sunderlands will also credit your new account with a £25 free bet.

5. This means that the worst case scenario on the Watford v Fulham match is a draw and you lose £0.07 but gain £49.00 in free bets. But if Watford win, you make £26.94 plus £49.00 in free bets.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions at all about this bet and we will come straight back to you.

Please note that the free bets and bonuses are valid for new customers only so if you already have an account with one or more of the bookies we are using, you won't be able to do this. If that is the case, contact us and we'll try and find you an alternative.

This method of betting was used very successfully during the World Cup and you can read all about how it was done right here.

We guarantee this bet

It's understandable that some people will not believe that it is possible to do this. "What's the catch?" I hear you asking. My answer to that question is that we have been publishing arbitrage bets for three seasons now and literally hundreds of people have profited from following the advice on these pages.

Only once has our refund guarantee been triggered and that was when I did all the figures wrong and sent refunds out to those who had followed our advice and made a small loss.

Our refund guarantee works like this. If this bet doesn't work like we say it will and you end up out of pocket, we will refund your losses. Simple as that.

That means that you simply cannot lose on this, whatever happens and even if I messed up the numbers.

The only stipulation here is that you must click on the links on this page to be eligible for the refund guarantee, not that you'll be needing to claim anyway. Just enjoy the profit and stay posted for many more of these throughout the season.

Would this work?

Pretty standard stuff. Depends on whether you can be fussed to go to the trouble of opening three betting accounts though.

Exactly. Lots of money to be made in matched betting though

Isn't it arbitrage betting? I'm sure I read quite a lot about it before. Some guy on the net had done it for a couple of years and kept a diary of everything he had done.

A very interesting account actually of the lessons he learnt and where he did particularly well.

Seems to me that as the market gets more competitive, there will be more and more opportunities. Funny market really. In any other market, prices get closer together as they go dwon. In betting, prices seem to get more dispersed in certain markets.

I didnt put half of the £104.95 but I did put £30 on it which won so I got back £70 from that (including stake) then last night I put £15 on Derry city, Benfica and Valencia in a treble and got back £31 from that (including stake).

I'm about £160 up at the moment, withdrawn £80 of that and i'm looking for a couple of foreign games to go with watford in a treble tonight.

This could be the start of a little challenge, like The Road To A Grand or something

oh, hang on. I see it's something different having had a little read through the diary.

That said, interestingly, the guy does have several arbing opportunities in his process and I find it interesting that he doesn't put more money through this. As this is literally guaranteed profit.

I'm sure that the betting industry (looking at UxS) are well aware of this but with Betfair's bettin engine, it seems difficult if not impossible to close it down completely.
