Hattrick

Kent Shrimper

Mike Reid
A new season is upon us in Hattrick land, kicking off tonight with the first round of the cup.

Who do you have in the cup? do you feel you have a strong enough side to compete this season in your Series?

What are your thoughts?

I have the following Team away in the cup

Humberside County FC - Southend United FC

Arena: Humberside Park

Should easily get past these guys.

I have strengthened the my team with an Excellent Kepper which cost me more than i wanted to pay but he is 18 so able to train to formid hopefully.

Looking forward to this season and a mid table finish in my first season in Series V would do me. Promotion would be a bonus.

I'm f**ked, I got a level III side. At least I'm at home so should hopefully get a capacity crowd, but the match is just 1 day before the construction to my stadium is finished to make it 20000 capacity.

The Shrimpers - Unobrow FC

Home game vs. Pleasantville FC

Doesn't look too promising as they have a number of players with TSI's in the region of 3500+

I have an away game at Kent Athletic FC, they shouldn't pose too many difficulties. Their av. TSI rating is about 1000 but one of their midfielders has a rating of 6820

You sign up and then give you a team within a week or so.

Many an hour can be spent on it.

My bunch of sh*tters against a good team in level III

The Shrimpers - Unobrow FC  0 - 8

View game:  HT Live
Date:  22/06/2004 at 21.00
MatchID:  18793056
Arena:  Roots Hall
Crowd:  11038

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Roots Hall saw a crowd turnout of 11038. Shrimpers started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Clune - Dunne, Judge, Mason - Duncan, Ivy, Anthony, Ankcorn, Tidmarsh - Axford, Curtis.

Unobrow had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Nuss - Effenkammer, Scott, Pamic - Kolton, Pollard, Hougaard, Mavir, Currie - Russell, Looby.

Shrimpers mostly ignored the flanks in favour of attacks in the middle. Unobrow saw most attack opportunites on the wings and were directing their passes that way. In the 6:th minute the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending and Dylan Looby put the ball away for 0 - 1. The away team´s Jeffrey Russell took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 13th minute increasing Unobrow´s lead to 0 - 2. In the 13th minute Unobrow put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. Scorer was Kevin Pamic. 13 minutes into the game Cab Scott had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Maximilian Scott. The visitors Hugo Hougaard took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 23rd minute. 0 - 4 for Unobrow. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 4. Unobrow held the ball, with a clear 81 percent possession rate.

The visitors Jeffrey Russell took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 56:th minute. 0 - 5 for Unobrow. By now Unobrow were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Robert Mason received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 74:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. The game had been on for 78 minutes when Brendan Pollard broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. Unobrow´s were up 0 - 6. The away team´s Rafal Kolton took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 85:th minute increasing Unobrow´s lead to 0 - 7. The visitors Maximilian Scott took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 86:th minute. 0 - 8 for Unobrow. Unobrow held the ball, with a clear 93 percent possession rate.

My mystic powers are as powerful as ever as we actually end up winning 3-0! Not a very exciting match though...

Shrimperzone FC - Crozzy 2s 3 - 0

View game: HT Live
Date: 22/06/2004 at 21.00
MatchID: 18796044
Arena: Shrimperzone FC Arena
Crowd: 4761

4761 spectators arrived at Shrimperzone FC Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Shrimperzone had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Thole - Slater, Williams, Foley, Lamb - Kilgour, Villalba, Breitwieser, Keogh - Hodgkinson, Peters.

Crozzy had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Hammond - Faint, Woodhouse, MacKilligan, Kendricks - Frame, Watson, Brennan, Reid - MacGee, Pepper.

In the 21st minute the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Juan Elías Villalba flipped the ball after a cross pass from the right. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Shrimperzone´s Mark Hodgkinson putting the lead up to 2 - 0. The structure of the game started to change as Shrimperzone decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Shrimperzone put themselves up 3 - 0 when Mark Hodgkinson broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. After an industrious effort down the middle Mark Hodgkinson could have closed the game off in the 34:th minute, but his finishing shot hit the post. 3 - 0 was the half-time score. Shrimperzone, bringing the final ball possession rate to 73 percent, dominated the battle.

After an industrious effort down the middle Mark Hodgkinson could have closed the game off in the 47:th minute, but his finishing shot hit the post. Mark Hodgkinson almost managed to score another goal for Shrimperzone, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors goalie. Wayne MacGee of Crozzy received a yellow card in the 56:th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Crozzy´s Wayne MacGee refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 63rd minute. A great save by goaltender Brett Hammond in the 76:th minute kept the visitors in the game as Steve Peters struck from the left with a real cannonball. The game was close to savage at times, and Crozzy`s Wayne MacGee received a second yellow card in the 78:th, his ticket out of the game. Shrimperzone, bringing the final ball possession rate to 79 percent, dominated the battle.

Most important Shrimperzone player was Brian Keogh. However, Juan Elías Villalba made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Crozzy player was without a doubt Brett Hammond. However, Shayne Watson made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 0.
