Needing a positive result and a good home performance to restore his flagging reputation, surely playing the team that are bottom of the league is a good place to start for Phil Brown? Perhaps not when you've got several regulars out and the team you're playing have just appointed a new manager.

So what team will el Tango pick for tomorrow?

He has several options, but I have a feeling he'll go for the following:

Bentley

Thompson Bolger Prosser White

Atkinson Leonard Timlin

Payne Corr Worrall

Subs: Smith, Deegan, Hurst, Clifford, Coulthirst, Layne, A youngster who hasn't gone out on loan (possibly Jordan Williams or Ross Johnson)

I'd hope we'd go with this as well!! I think it's the most logical back 4 we can name with who is available but I have a horrible feeling we'll see Lenny at RB and Hurst chasing shadows in midfield.

Same for me as well. Any one know how Mad's injury is progressing?

3-5-2 with our current predicament at LB? Atkinson on the left of the 5.

Obviously won't happen but could work.

Not looking forward to this at all. Even when we are playing well we struggle against the bottom sides. Two of the current back four missing, although in the case of Williams its a slight relief, only two strikers available, neither of whom are in any sort of form and a midfield who are shot shy. Got another 1-1 written all over. Sorry, i really want to be positive but just cant see how, its not like the team is full of confidence! Even my son asked if we could go to Wembley instead and even as season ticket holders im tempted. From the team suggested, would swop Prosser to left back or even Timlin. Need balance in the side so a left footer at left back seems to make sense.

This looks like a banana skin in the making. If we can get away with a 1 0 win il be happy, but unless some of the players start stepping up to the plate, this could go horribly wrong.

Personally I will be disappointed if Leonard is played at full back as I feel in offers more in midfield now and also hope that if Timlin plays Deggan does not as feel they do not complement each other. Would also like to see Payne start.
After last Saturday it is difficult to be that confident but they are bottom and we do have a good record against them in the past so I am hopping/praying for a home win but expect it to be close so maybe 2-1.

4-0 Southend. I have money on it too.
On the basis that not only is it a home match vs bottom of the league (yes I appreciate that doesn't count for much), that Weston isn't playing, nor is the bin-bag... and that there has to be a match where you pummel someone and score four. Football is a funny ole game. Chester may well have been the final kick up the tuchus both PB and the boys needed to get going.
4-0

We'd be more likely to win if we were away. Atmosphere at the last home game was poisonous.

4-0

That is certainly what I am hoping.

3 points or this place will go into meltdown at 5pm tomorrow. I doubt the punters at The Hall would be pleased with anything less either. Phil faced a backlash last week. It could be worse tomorrow if the result is not a positive one...

Will presumably be a bigger crowd so even more people to be annoyed.

4-0

How in gods name do you expect this scoreline. Id seriously take a 1-0 at the moment. When was the last time we scored 4? and at home? anyone?

I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. I reckon it will be about the same as the Chester gate. I'm with Iron Mike on the score line, expecting the Blues to win with goals to spare.

Agree with this and not just the last home game either. There is a issue for the players playing at Roots Hall and as fans we have to look at ourselves regarding this.

It's a long trip down and they are bottom of the league.

If they fall behind they could easily collapse. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was 4-0.

Equally I wouldn't be surprised if it was 1-1.
