If you are an atheist why accept presents for Christmas ?
Because it's a pagan festival to which the Christians hitched their bandwagon?

I dunno.

All I know is Father Christmas was born in a stable. His mother was a virgin (before someone shagged the arse of her) and three wide men came bearing gifts from afar, which I believe were a Big Mac, a super-size deep cheese crust filled pizza and a massive ego.

And that's why I get presents.

I was over in Florida a few years back and it was Veterans Day over there, in my opinion there best holiday, and it was great to see some of the firework displays and certainly like to celebrate it much more than we do, which is a shame considering we have had 2 world wars fairly recently, although things were a bit OTT, Everyone u saw had a American flag either in there hand or on there car, still i expect to see Arnold Schwarzenegger day soon enough ...

P.S How can anyone not like the food in Florida, Theres a place called Golden Correll, its a buffet resturant, has everything seriously, only costs about $6 dollars, fantastic food and brilliant entertainment, a truly amazing sight when you see these massive american women going up for there 6th piece of fudge cake.

You sure that it wasn't Independence day Luke?  I don't ever remember fireworks for Veterans Day, but maybe its just because no one would want to go outside to watch fireworks on a November night in Colorado.

Also, about your Arnold Schwarzenegger comment, I wouldn't be surprised either, there are actually people who want to change our constitution so he can become president

It was Veterans Day, But then again Seth, it is Florida, Old people central.

Well, i think if he ever does get into the White House, Mickey Mouse as his running mate ?

Still the worrying thing is Arnold could prob do a better job than Bush.
