Hands Off GSM.

Carlisle are a club that have benefited from there only being 2 relegation slots in L2, they've been circling the drain for a few seasons.

I can see him leaving in Jan but not for more than 25K to a mid table L2 team
Bit harsh, they were in League One last season 😜 But it looks as though they are trying their best to replicate our fortunes and go for the double.

Funny how beginning off the season when he was scoring for fun ,people didnt want to lose him but realised we would and fees off 100k upwards were being mentioned , now since hes on a bad streak people dont care if we lose him and fees off 25k ,50 k at most being mentioned .

Perhaps some sort of deal could include an end of season loan for Harrison Neal who I know isn't particularly happy there and potentially looking for a January move.
As much as I liked Neal I don't think any move for another defensive minded CM is high on our priority list.

I can’t see that being an attractive move for Gus. Incredibly long way from home and a team bottom of League Two. I still think he could leave in January but don’t think it’ll be there.

I’d actually be more worried if Col Ewe were willing to chuck £100k-£150k at us.
We were watching him at the start of the season apparently but nothing came of it in the end, although our number 2 squad number remains vacant! We do have several players who can play in that position though, and we could do with players in other areas of the pitch now. DC has said he expects 3-4 of our players to leave in January and he wants to bring a few more in.

Why would we accept £50k or less. I would imagine that barely covers a week or two of the clubs wage bill. Might as well run down his contract for that amount

It shows you how far we have fallen when CoLu are above us in every aspect.

Our model says, or said, buy young and hungry from lower leagues, polish the diamond, sell at a profit, if worthwhile, and then run out the replacement that has been groomed for the job. Seems like this could fit the bill here. We're a selling club now, if the price is right.

We’ve always been a selling club, along with every other club in the National League, the football league, and pretty much every Premier League side bar the top 5/6 clubs.

I’d take nothing less than £100k for him, that’ll be to good to turn down as at the moment we only have a chance of making the play offs and that a big if

Supporters always over inflate transfer fees when players are doing well.

If we sell GSM, I doubt we’d ever hear the figure anyways.

All the talk of £100k is absolutely fantasy. We snap anyone’s hands off for that sort of money for him, or most of our players to be fair.

I’d suggest £50k is probably the top end of what we could expect, and I doubt we’d get offers of that much at the minute.

To be honest we may be in the league above you and doing quite well recently, but we still have a long way to go, the Cowley’s are slowly improving the club all round. Your strength is your support, that will be a great help to your owners in their fight to get you back into the league and stable.

If we were to get less than a £100k for him, unless he really wants to leave then it's not really worth selling him.

The very minimum I'd take would be £75k. Considering Morton cost £25k and Crowther cost £35k. I think £75k-100k is fair for GSM.

Anyone know if we paid a fee for Gus?
