In the case of last Saturday, it was 'all about' a few too many bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale......felt a bit

I went to Cardiff and Grimsby on my own too (although I met up with my brother-in-law once I got to Cardiff) - it was quite odd.

It's always better to go with someone else but up at the Vale it doesn;t matter because everyone who sits around me all have had season tickets for 2 years now so we all know each other. One happy family.

I'm getting more distance on this thread than one of Wiggy's (albeit not the ones where he seems happy one of our players is injured) and I've only written a couple of posts.

Definitely time to use this smiley

However was concerned about going on my own as  i have never done this, but reading that many people do go on their own and feel fine I think I might just make the trips now! Good topic mate !

p.s if any1 sees me, (tall wearing a southend shirt now doubt) at the bar on his own at any of the above venues, please come and talk to  me

There's a whole load of Southend fans based up in Yorkshire. In particular there's Si Twinn's lot from Thirsk (just listen out for the chants of 'Yorkshire Blues' at a northern away game and go and introduce yourself), who are great lads. I met other Southend fans from places like Leeds, Harrogate, Barnsley etc.

I was up at York, I'd never been to a game on my own, but plucked up the courage and went to a game mid-way through my first year and never looked back. After a few games you'll get to know both those who do the northern games, and those who do all the games and you'll never be short of someone to watch the game with.

Well i think i will be going to my first game on my own against Huddersfield in a couple of weeks but being based in Leeds i may have to attend the games that are in my term time on my own aswell.

Ive had to go to several games on my own since some of my m8s have decided they are really west ham fans, and they also think that the price of a ticket at southend is too much. I'd much rather watch my local team play than those in the Premier$hite since it's more exciting!
