Saw him at Club Riga (The Cricketers) quite a few years ago. His voice live was superb.

Shame he cancelled playing at the Cliffs the following year.

Went to see Bob Mould in Brixton a week or so ago, he was totally superb - high energy wall of sound type stuff, right up my alley.

I'm going to see Art Garfunkel at the Cliffs this time next week. Saw him at the RAH a couple of years ago and in a word, awesome! His son came on and sung with him, and I would have to say his voice is just as good!

Having seen him as one half of S&G at Wembley (a few years ago now) I didn't fancy seeing him solo here, summer before last. Some friends who saw him last time he was at the Cliffs said he gave a good show.I'm sure he did. Though I've always preferred Paul Simon, myself.

Going to see ABC with the South Bank Sinfonia Sunday at the cliffs. All of my heart with an orchestra ….getting goosebumps.
You'll enjoy that. I saw them do LoL in full at Theatre Royal Drury Lane a few years ago. Anne Dudley was there conducting the orchestra. One of the best of nights of my life.

Thanks for that !I reckon when Smokey sings is going to be a bit special as well with the orchestra. So wish I had a gold jacket!

Off to see Mott the Hoople on Friday in Shepherds Bush.. Unfortunately a lot of these 70s bands aren't going to be around performing much longer so have to grab them while you can.

Yes, that is the theory I am working on as well, SS.

I saw Hunter with his Rant Band a week or so after Bowie died. He finished on All The Dudes, it was quite an emotional experience.

The Rant Band are filling in the holes left by the members of Mott that are no longer with us. The last time I saw Ian Hunter, Mick Ralphs was in the bar next door with members of said band before the gig. Unfortunately I'm not expecting to repeat that experience on Friday.

I saw them at the cliffs about 2 years ago with a small orchestra. It was good but it was sit down that I don’t really like. A couple of weeks later Hunan league played- they were unbelievably good. Saw them again at night the cliffs earlier this his year with midge ure as support. Again unbelievable, got tickets to midge ure/electronica later this year at cliffs again
