Glad to see Chisora is being lined up as Joshua's next opponent. I see there is talks of David Haye if he wins his fight next year. I don't see what all the fuss is about Haye. Maybe 4/5 years ago he was a decent fighter but now not so much. I think Joshua will give him a good pasting and put him back into retirement that's if it doesn't happen before he gets the chance. The guy had major shoulder surgery and was advised never to box again.

I really can't see chisora being AJs next opponent, more than anything he is sky's cash cow now, and that fight just isn't going to be enough for them to sell it as a main event on a PPV maybe on the undercard of a big fight, just can't think of any coming up in a few months times that it would be on. If it wasn't for their amateur fight and history then Joshua v Whyte was never PPV material either.

lookinh forward to Andy Lee v BJ Saunders coming up, possibility of being Eubank Jrs next opponent whoever wins.

Don't underestimate the Sky Hype Machine. They can/will turn any/every Joshua fight into a PPV event.

Seriously though, Matchroom's exclusive contract, is to put on 6 PPV's per year (spanning from May to May). Quigg-Frampton in February will be number 5, IIRC, so brace yourself for AJ vs Chisora on April 9th, at The O2. I've heard it's a nailed-on certainty, barring any injuries.

It's a good fight, but it's not PPV material.

Agree with Lee Vs BJS. Should be interesting. I don't mind the winner facing Eubank, but I'd rather see Eubank up against Geale (very winnable), Lemieux or Quillin. Those last two would be excellent fights.

As a Cruiserweight, Haye was the real deal. A genuine supreme boxer. As a HW, no.

That being said, he has all the tools to beat Joshua right now. You can tell Joshua will struggle against quick, mobile fighters, especially ones who can counter with power. Haye would win, and win clearly. And that's coming from someone who can't stand David Haye. Trust me, Eddie Hearn isn't daft, he won't want Joshua to have any part of Haye, for a long time yet.

No doubt it will be a PPV, cue chisora being made to trash talk AJ and create some hate that doesn't exist so it can become another grudge bout.
Either that or it will have to have a excellent all round card like the whyte fight did. Probably the best night of boxing I've seen so far this year.

Pacquaio vs Bradley for a third time! Oh dear Khan looks like you're going to have to fight Brook and have your career well and truly put to bed.

Looks like a great year for boxing coming up. With the possibility of bouts between GGG vs Canelo and Saunders to unify the division.

Quigg vs Frampton, Fury vs Klitschko II, Pac man vs Bradley III.

Also with the possibility of bouts such as Brook vs Khan and Joshua vs Haye sounding like a great boxing year in 2016.

Haye fight live on Dave tomorrow at 9pm. Also got the Wilder fight on early hours Sunday morning live on sky sports 1.

Haye will end this fight whenever he wants. All depends on if he wants to make a statement & finish it early, or if he wants the rounds under his belt.

I'm torn. I feel like he'll want to go a few rounds, but will end up finishing it early. I'll say 5th round, but wouldn't be surprised if it was as early as 1-3

Stuttering when asked whether he has come back for financial reasons. De Mori was a joke and let be honest he is going to get his arse handed to him when he fights someone who is half decent.

Lols. Feel sorry for the people who actually paid for tickets. An awful card, with an awful mismatch main event, with a first round stoppage.

De Mori was always gunna get flattened, but I thought Haye might want a few more rounds under his belt, just to shake off the ring rust & get back to that required sharpness. At times you could tell Haye even gave De Mori a chance to compose himself, but eventually decided to end it. The matchmaking was awful. Forget the hype about WBA rankings, this guy was ranked in the 100's on Boxrec. Great to see boxing on free-to-air tv though.

I thought Haye was a bit flat footed & stiff, but did what was expected of him. He's looked good against a very lesser opponent, but don't be confused, this was a very, very big mismatch.

That being said, I still believe he beats Anthony Joshua right now. AJ won't cope with the movement. AJ is too flat footed & plodding. Haye would move him all around the ring, out pointing him early, before probably stopping him late on.

But Tyson is still the man to beat in the HW division.

I think Joshua needs to fight Chisora before he fights Haye. Haye won't fight Fury because there is no point in it happening on Fury's end! Haye will end up fighting yet another nobody and all the 'boxing fans' will think he is amazing and will beat anyone, when in truth he's 35 and put him in the ring with someone half decent will get smashed.

GBJ what about a bout against Hughie?

Thought he did ok and what was more interesting was his weight, an extra 18lb heavier and still just as quick. On the age part he is quite young compared to a lot of the fighters in the top 20 with the majority in their mid to late 30's and some in their 40's, so wouldn't be concerned with age at all.

Personally, I'd say Joshua doesn't want any part of Haye. Not this year, and probably not next. If belts (and inevitably money) are involved, it'll happen, but I can't see any other reason why Joshua would want to face Haye. I see even fewer reasons why Eddie Hearn would want Joshua to face Haye.

Fortunately for us, the fans, Joshua is starting to run out of credible/passable opponents (no surprise after 27 months of fighting bums) so the rational progression, and public demand, will call for him to be in against the likes of Haye.

I make Tyson right, in refusing to face Haye. He cost him a quarter of a million pounds. That's not lost earnings, that's £250k, that's had to come out of Tyson's own pocket. The truth is though, the potential money & the spectacle will be too much to turn down.

Hughie ain't ready for someone with Haye's pedigree. Haye has far too much experience. I'm not saying I'd rule Hughie out totally, but for now Haye would beat him. Don't forget, Haye is a former undisputed Cruiserweight Champion, aswell as a Heavyweight champ (albeit, not a good one). Hughie is a young kid (21-22?) still learning his trade. But I still believe Hughie is the future of the HW division, at least from a British perspective.

Personally, I'd like to see Haye face someone like Arreola next.

Do you know the reasoning behind Dave getting the coverage? Was it because no one else was interested?

Don't know much against Arreola, he fought a Klitschko once I do remember that.

The age thing isn't necessarily a concern right now, but with the the likes of Hughie Fury & Joseph Parker coming through, Haye does have an expiry date

The rumours I heard, were Sky & Boxnation weren't willing to touch the fight. Haye has a history of pulling out of shows, with almost no time to rescue them. Manuel Charr, Fury twice, and once in his younger Cruiserweight days. So they refused to take a gamble on him, considering his all-time-low stock & a complete mismatch like this. They were worried that this show would bomb, wouldn't sell tickets, and Haye would suddenly develop an injury (which is very reminiscent of the Charr fight in Manchester)

So effectively, yes, no-one else was interested. Again, it's rumours, but this event was touted to a host of different stations & they all backed away. ITV, Ch5 included.

That's not to say Haye wont fight on Sky/BN again though. He inevitably will, because money talks.

Arreola is more of a gatekeeper/journeyman these days, nothing special, but he's a very experienced heavyweight & is decently durable. A perfect test/builder for Haye next IMO. Other than that, someone like Ustinov, Adamek wouldnt be too bad for him. Then it's straight into the (winners of) Glazkov/Martin or Wilder for World Titles. Anything else, and there's no real point

Wilder with another knockout! Fury straight into the ring to challenge.

Feel sorry for Glazkov as that's no way to 'lose' in the ring. Shame because Glazkov was saying he wanted to fight Joshua if he won. It will be interesting to see who Martin picks to fight. Haye will definitely be begging for that one as he knows Fury will need that belt to unify the division.
