Breaking News Gavin Tomlin signs

KNow nothing about Tomlin really other than he scored a good goal against us at the Gills.
 
Scored six goals in ten appearances for the Gills; a midfielder rather than a striker. Has played for Daggers and Yeovil in the past.
 
So he is more attack than midfield - so he is more of a replacement for Dickinson rather than Grant - anyway, glad to have him on board.

To my mind we need a goalie and another central defender at least.

Freddie and another central midfielder would be a very big added bonus .............

Definitely not a replacement for Grant. He's primarily a striker from what was said when interest was leaked before. From what I remember the conclusion was that he wasn't quite that on the wing but effective up front.

I think other than a keeper another central midfielder is the main priority rather than a bonus unless we are playing Timlin and Ferdinand with no backup.
 
From what I remember of him from the Gills game he seemed like a better version of Damian Scannell.

Back-up could be Kalala and Dailly (or however you spell his name) plus we then have Leonard and possible Bilel if we really get hit by injuries, suspensions and/or diarrhoea .........

Forgot about Kalala and thought there were doubts following is injury as he was being "monitored"

Even with those it doesnt sound like a great passing central midfield.
