Ticket News Gateshead (a) - Mon 5th May 2025

I’ve just tried to book ticket. Am I right in saying you can’t actually select a seat? Map view doesn’t seem to work for me. Also it doesn’t appear to accept an overseas SMS. Is the e-ticket send to the email address please?

Thanks in advance

Gets sent to your email yes, they all do in this league. When the lads booked mine there was no mention of seat numbers or where do we sit. Dont suppose theyve had a team that might cause them a problem in that stand !

We went to Gateshead a couple of years ago and you just sit where you want

Yes, that's right. It's a big stand. With no roof, just a skeleton metal structure.

However, if you happen to be going incognito into the home stand all the seats on either side of the halfway line are occupied by season ticket holders so it's best to get there early to claim a good seat.

3: I have been there/seen it/done it when it comes to these all important games, where we take a great following only to be let down on the pitch. I am not saying this will happen, but the longer serving fans will feel my pain when it comes to these scenarios with Southend.

Morecambe away still lives rent free in my head.

Doncaster wasn’t much better either.

I’m sure this one will be different. I think.

Still no roof. Even less of a roof than before.

This was the York game over Easter. Around 1,700 York I think.

oh - I knew it was like last that last season - but I'd read this

"Away fans are located in the large East Stand on one side of the stadium. This stand has a capacity of 4,000, more than ample for most away followings in the National League.

The stand is covered, free of supporting pillars and so fans have an unobstructed view of the playing action. The facilities inside the stand are good, as well as the catering which offers a selection of pies, hot dogs and burgers."

Does it have good facilities or is the site just BS

It’s covered by the sky to be fair.

1. Yes - Gateshead is a stadium & not a football ground like Roots Hall. Just as bad as when Rotherham were at the Don Valley or Brighton at the .......... I've forgotten the name.

2. Train tickets are pricey especially if not bought well in advance/used with a discount card. As I understand it the train network we have is full to capacity ........ hence all the discussions about whether a high speed line out of London was the best approach.

3. Ah yes - I recognise that. What can we do though? Not go & miss out on a marvellous memory? Tricky.

@Rattus Norvegicus Withdean Stadium?
