Further light on the Bailey McCormack saga

I think everyone's over-reacting a bit... I've seen them out together and there's pictures of them out together on Macca's facebook, so theyre obviously mates! Thinks can get heated on the pitch and emotions run high!

Alright it wasn't pretty but they are both hard players. If the game was being played in the Premiership with two foreign ponces disagreeing we'd have seen a girly slap and a ridiculous dive.

IMO all this talk about club statements and disciplinary action is way over the top.

Jai....be honest....you'd go down like a sack of..... :D

Is it only me who is surprised to see this picture on the photo gallery?

Looks very much to me that Macca's paper beats Bailey's stone. Perhaps this was a sudden death decider, hence the anger.

Theres a difference between wanting to win and wanting to hit your own team mate

spot on. i've been in many heated situations on a football pitch, both with opponents and my team mates and whilst there may be verbals and pushing... i've never seen anyone head-butt a team mate (and in this case a best mate). bailey was completely out of order IMO and whilst it's probably best to be left as it has, who know what tilly might do behind the scenes... IF the ref had seen it, there is no doubt he would have been sent off for violent conduct, and so Bailey needs to channel his anger and aggression in the right way.

Nicky B was running around like a headless chicken before THE incident on Saturday though, certainly the least effective performance I've seen from him in a Southend shirt. Maybe he was dazzled by the brightness of his new yellow boots?

I was thinking that on the way home, if team-mates set about each other, the referee would be able to send either/both of them off wouldn't he?

yep, both dyer and bowyer were sent off for their brawl when at Newcastle. it would come under violent conduct which can be against anyone.

agree also that Bailey was terrible for the whole game... but i was impressed with Revell, whose half-volley 40yard pass through two defenders to tommy black was quality. he also won a lot in the air but walker was never close enough for any flick-ons

look at baileys hands..

Look at Macca not taking in a word that Clarkey is saying & giving Evils to Bailey.

Blokes can fall out with each other (especially at work) & still get on with things after like nothings happened.

Good job Bailey & Macca aren't women as they'd be ringing up their other mates slagging the other one off & gossiping about one another's trampy dress sense & bad choice of make-up!

That was the one which looked as if he'd hit it far too hard and then the fade on the ball kicked in and it landed almost at Black's feet?

Wasn't too impressed overall with AR to be honest (no way was he a 7.5 as somebody has reated him), thought Harrold actually wins more aerial balls than he did, but as others have said, not really fair to judge him so soon into his comeback from hernia op. Glad an in-form Hoops will return to the fold though, if Barney's injury niggles continue for the playoffs we might struggle!

Didnt go to Tranmere but in every game Ive seen Revell play he has won nearly every header his way, far better in the air than Harrold.

i agree... i felt Revell did well in the air against Tranmere, with little support around him

This sort of thing happens all the time in football as its such a passionate sport.

I was involved in a massive bust up with a mate at football yesterday, buts it all forgotten now. We had a beer or 3 after the game as if nothing happens. I expect the same thing happened with Bailey and Macca.

They were both a bloody disgrace and it was awful to witness in front of the home fans, blues supporters dont deserve that, passion my ****

I would rather they reacted how they did instead of not caring. I like to see players who have got pride wearing the SUFC shirt and those two have got it in abudance
