Further light on the Bailey McCormack saga

I think thats great! I can't understand why people are getting all upset about it. At least they have passion and want to win... if they were happy about conceding a soft goal I'm sure the same people will be moaning... unprofessional yes, but at least theres passion in the team to succeed.

Theres a difference between wanting to win and wanting to hit your own team mate

Because we're supposed to be a team and play as a team. After this they didn't even bloody pass to each other!

After yesterday's toothless performance we need our two midfielders to act as a unit if we're going to win these sodding playoffs, and what I saw yesterday, we ain't got a prayer.

I didnt see them pass to each other much before this happend.

We all know that Macca has a bit of a temper but i've never seen Bailey react like that before.

I'm sure it was just a heat of the moment thing. I'm sure they're good mates seeing as they've played together all season but they're boht fiery characters and sometimes these things happen. Same thing happened with Drogba and Ballack at Chelski. If they were at Mayhem together last night then it can't have been that bad.

Last week at Carlisle Bailey went mad after being hit in the face. he had to be restrained on the sideline and then clattered in the bloke when he was allowed on.

I would say it shows actually more about our team spirit than lack of it. To be able to kick off at someone to that degree would suggest a greater understanding and friendship.

If it was just 2 people disagreeing there wouldn't be the same passion. However 2 people who know and respect each other and are good friends would show a greater flare up because you know you can push things further.

Also anyone who has played football with friends will know that it does get heated and at times damn right nasty. Que Sara, a beer and laugh after and all is right again.

Great post. Football is a passionate game, for heaven's sake I've almost come to blows with team mates on a Sunday morning because they've let their man go or something similar.

If Bailey and Macca are that fired up for a game which many thought was fairly meaningless compared to some in recent weeks, there's no complaints from me. 99% of people will man up, shake hands at the end and laugh about it afterwards.

Alright it wasn't pretty but they are both hard players. If the game was being played in the Premiership with two foreign ponces disagreeing we'd have seen a girly slap and a ridiculous dive.

IMO all this talk about club statements and disciplinary action is way over the top.

I agree ... its just a case of let it be

As a pair these two are great mates, they are often in each others company away from the pitch, Macca will often mention how close the team is and how much they all push each other on, in training and during a game, yes there have been flare up's in training, more than are know about, there has been pushing and shoving in the dressing room at half time and at the end of games, but thats how they are with one another they all feel they can be open and have it out, sort it and get on with it, Macca's words, not mine, yes you might say it sounds more like a Sunday side but I would'nt like to walk in the dressing room and question their passion and commitment it may show a raw side at times but it's been a major factor in getting us to were we are this season.

As you seem to know quite a bit that happens, I must ask, are you one of the players ?
