Ok so we let in yet another soft goal in a game which will end our automatic promotion hopes; and from my seat it looked like Bailey lost his man in what was his poorest performance I have seen from him. McCormack having the mouth he did he told him what he thought.
Bailey wasn't happy responding with his head.
As much as I love him as a player, it just wasn't on- I could see how the lack of unity effected the team. There were times it appeared either was reluctant to pass to the other. And considering both are CM's that's bad news!
Anyway this is all known.
After the game a Tranmere fan I have been chatting to on MSN said he saw the Southend players getting on the coach-
arguing.
No doubt that it was about the conceded goal.
And whilst I believe you need a post mortem; it should be carried out in a controlled enviroment by the manager the next day after everyone has cooled down. Using taboo language at another member of the team whilst in view of fans is just not right.
I for one think the club need to make a statement, and look into discplining the concerned players.
For a team which relies so much on a togetherness at the club and a strong team spirit; this is a concern.
UTB!
