I saw Rick Farrell in the South Upper at a game at the end of last season ,have not seen him since tho .I knew him when he lived at Manchester Drive about 25 plus years ago ,still looks the same now .

Moved up to Inverness for a couple of years with his missus and came back last summer. Saw him last october and he was working in Boots at the top of the high street.

No, the one your thinking of was in our promotion season of 1972(i think) certainly was'nt the trip i was referring to.Seem to remember Tank had a paint aerosol which was emptied before he got back, if you know what i mean.

I think that would have been during Tank's abstract period mate. I remember we played Tranmere & Southport over the same weekend, a load of us slept rough, whereas the more affluent grabbed a B&B. I recall the Brothers Grimm trying to eject a few stowaways on the coach home, and abandon on us somewhere on the motorway. Fortunately we were allowed to stay under protest and that we would pay on later.

Excellent read really enjoyed it this was a game I didn't go to too busy trying to conceive Dave the Shrimper.
Further to earlier posts I have been since last May writing my personal Shrimper History and reached about 200 pages so far. It's basically recalling every away game I've been to (I had them all recording) adding details of other matches and enecdotes and adding personal bits and peices. I'm doing it largely for DtS so That he can find out what I got up to before he was born.
What quite I'l do with it when it's finished (it will never be finished of course) I don't know?
Any suggestions, it could be a Shrimperzone soap perhaos
