This is how I think it should end lads.....with comments about Fred we can get Scriv to print out and pass on to him from us his fans.

Please add your comments here and hopefully a mod will make it a "sticky " somewhere on this board.

I am gutted you left Fred but I know your future is elsewhere...Good luck son you deserve every chance you can grab in life. You will be sorely missed.

John.

All the best Freddy, you are a true Southend legend!

I will never forgot the goal you scored at the Millenium Stadium which is my favourite moment in 20 years of supporting The Mighty Shrimpers!

Will always remember the goals, the excitement, and the reward for both club and player for your amazing achievements.

Thank you.

Long Live Freddy Eastwood and Southend United

Ps A quick thanks to Steve T and Ron M for the amzing present from Grays !!

Goodbye Freddy, you will always be remembered in this parts. You are a Southend legend, I just hope your career away from us becomes as successful as your career with you!

The goals, the assists, the promotions, the memories.

Freddy you have brought so much joy to us Southend fans from from first 7 seconds of your debut So many highlights, promotion winning goals and of course that goal against manure. Good luck at Wolves I know I'll look out for their results next season and please don't be afraid to come back:). A true hero to me and many others I'm sure, we will miss you!

Its a team game but Tuesday 7th Nov 2006 will live in my memory till my dying day, thank you for one of the best nights of my life Freddy

Freddy, you are a true Southend United hero, and I wish you every success at Wolves, and I cant wait to see you in the Premiership and on the international stage. We all knew you were good enough for the top, and so we knew we had to say goodbye someday.

Good luck Freddy, and keep on scoring!!

Keep this thought in mind though, when you are older and nearing the end of your career, you would be welcomed back with open arms to complete the job of becoming the greatest scorer in our history!!

Thanks again Freddy, we will all miss you, but will never forget the memories!!

We'd love you back at Fossetts :)

Fred. I love you.

Thanks for all the memories over the last few seasons. It's such a shame to see you go, but you're a legend. A southend legend. You're a very highly respected man and deserve success wherever you go. You deserve to go up and play at the highest level possible, so good luck wherever you end. You will be sorely missed by many people here but thanks for all the memories. They'll live down forever - especially the one against Man Utd.

Fred, I hope you've enjoyed your stay at Southend and I know I've enjoyed seeing you play here. You're a legend here mate - and it's thorougly deserved.

Remember, towards the end of your career, you will be more than welcome back here, by anyone, to play out your career.

All the best.
Jay_Shrimper.

Freddy, its been fantastic seeing you in a Blue shirt and I wish you all the best at Wolves and wherever it take you. You were a hero here, and will remain so. I hope you become as apprecieated at Wolves as you were at Southend United.
