Fred or no Fred, I'm still pretty disappointed that Hooper has been let go without any swift indication of a new striker coming in.

That doesnt make a lot of sense to be honest.

If this Freddy thing is true, and lets go crazy and assume it is, then what on earth does it matter if Hooper goes out on loan ?

If Freddy doesnt come, or if no one else signs then yes it doesnt make sense.

For me there must be something in the pipeline or surely we would allow the loan to take place AFTER the leeds game.

Hooper was let go a 36 hours before a huge match leaving us with one semi fit striker for that match. If a striker was well and truly lined up before Hooper was let go, which really should have been the case, then something should have been announced by now.

Hence my comment: Fred or no Fred, I'm still pretty disappointed that Hooper has been let go without any swift indication of a new striker coming in.

Makes a lot of sense to me. This Freddy thing might be a wind up (not from BAG but his mate) or might be truthful but fall through. It's worrying having 3 strikers, 1 whom we have just signed, 1 whom hardly scores for toffee and one whom has just had an injury.

Yes but whatever is going on, if anything, the priorty is to get it settled and signed, not for them to pamper to fans and maje announcements that might be premature.

They were slaughtered for the Walker affair and as seen with Barnard are making sure things are certain before announcing them.

If come tomorrow, or the end of the transfer window it turns out to be nonsense and we sign no one then feel free to complain.

Maybe I just worded what i was trying to say wrongly. I don't expect premature announcements. I expect them to have actually fully signed someone by now, because talks with a new striker should have been at an extremely advanced stage before they even thought about letting Hooper go.
