Hi, just saw this thread – there has been nothing about this proposed move up here I'm afraid. As some have said, there is every chance Eastwood would have played v Watford had he not hurt his hand. Saying that, we do have 5 or 6 strikers now so it would not be a surprise to see him move at some point. No offence, but I'd imagine he would end up at Charlton, Norwich or some other Champ club – I cant see him dropping down a league again. Plus, judging by the interviews he gave last week, he still wants to succeed here – which he may do.

I heard this from a source who has proven to be accurate before, and I had a feeling that most other people in the SZ community would be interested. Sorry to waste your precious time Tommy, I don't see why you're being so f@cking hostile, but it's getting right on my t!ts. I accept that MSFE is better informed than me, and I am getting less and less hopeful that it's going to happen, but I passed on the news in good faith, not to p!ss people off or raise hopes. And if you think he's so crap, why are you so bothered?

A) You believed this info enough to post it seriously
B) Its taken over 10,000 views and a couple of hundred hits to realise what should have been realised in the first place.

Your damned if you and damned if you dont. I was talking to a good friend of mine about 5 mins ago who coaches with the youth side at boots and asked him if he had heard anything! He said that he had heard the rumours about a week ago but that was it. Realisticley I cant see freddie coming back at all, I mean why would he? Lets get real, he on shed loads of money at wolves and playing for us again would not really appeal to him. I would rather we signed someone for the long term and not as a stop gap.

What was actually bad was this was posted with the title "not just rumour" so was made out to sound like it was a solid fact.

Thats whats frustrated so many and I personally never believe stuff like this but even I got my hopes up that this was real inside information.

Lesson to be learnt that unless it really is a certainty to only refer to it as hearsay....
