Beverly Hills Cop Blue
First XI
Not a lot managers can do when the players persistently persevered with his attitude problem. Too many managers listed for it to come under bad management. A coincidence in the extreme if it was.
How old is Michael Owen?
How old was Michael Ricketts?
I think Freddy was at his best about 7 years ago when he was actually hungry.
I'd also steer clear of Akinfenwa. Whilst he might score 20 goals, I don't think he's a player who'll start in a promotion team.
Looking at the size of him at the moment he can't be hungry
Very frustrated by this thread. The consensus on these forums 12 months ago was that we should get Freddy irrespective of any financial considerations. Ever since, the consensus has been that we should ignore the fact that he's offered very little, and continue to believe he's the saviour whilst having ago at others that cost less and work more.
Are we now slowly coming to terms with the fact that "he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy"?
Freddy might not be the player he was but I am still hopeful. Whilst he may not have been on the pace on Saturday, everything stuck and he worries defenders. I would like to see him have 45 mins with BBBC.
Seems at last people are realising that he is never going to be the player he was whilst he clearly has no interest in getting his weight down and therefore have a chance of being fit enough to play regularly. Strange how Davids who is 11 years older, hardly played for 4 years and also suffers from injury problems can manage 90 minutes each week and clearly have an impact. It all comes down to desire. I have no desire to knock a player who contributed so much in his frist spell but we are in a position where we have a threadbare squad and could spend his wages on 2 players who are fit and could contribute. On the same basis if we could offload Harris as well we could probably sign 4 in total.

Harris should not have been given a three year contract in the first place, not at 34, and with his injury record. Eastwood, well Fred imo was never realy in love with the game, as a young man fitness might have come easy, now in his late twentys it comes a bit harder, does he really want to do it anymore, i hope so, but i doubt it.
Funnily enough I always remember Spencer Prior appearing on Sky TV the day after the Manchester United victory and he said Gary Hooper will become a better player than Freddy Eastwood which seemed barmy at the time, how right he was!
