Sometimes players just click with certain clubs. Let's hope we are the right fit for him.

A very good observation in my view. Nouble clearly has potential and talent. But for some reason or another he has not fulfilled it so far. But maybe he will at Southend. He has certainly got pace and height (6'3").

Let's give him a chance. At least we didn't spend 200k on him like we did in James Walker. That's gotta be the worst signing we ever made along with Paynter.

The negative reaction gives me great hope that he will very well - frightens me on the rare occasion we actually support a signing (normally results in instant injury or loss of form)

Frank is 6'3 and can be quite a handful. In his first Gillingham spell on loan he scored 5 goals in 13 games and was highly thought of, that's why they went in for him again and I was disappointed they got him and not us. Yes his second spell has been less prolific, but talk to any Gillngham fan and they will tell you that part of it , is the type of Football they have been playing of late and his goalscoring chances limited. Much discontent at Priestfield about lump it forward to the singular, vertically challenged Cody McDonald. Confidence at the Gills also shot to some extent. A contract to the end of the season looks a clever move to me, hope I'm proved right, but equally will eat some Publuc pie of the humble variety if Frank turns out to be as poor as sme already suggest

Good stats Kb. I see he only played as a striker once during the recent spell, the rest were on the wing, which shows some flexibility, also if you are belting the ball forward to the relatively short Cody MC Donald you are not exactly going to create many knock downs, head ons, etc

Absolutely - no player can score goals if the rest of the team isn't right. That's for the manager to sort out - getting the balance in the team and getting the team to play that allows strikers to be in and around the box with the ball.

This is something we should all know from our experiences earlier this season, isn't it?

I've not seen him play so I'm gonna reserve judgement until his had at least a few games. Good luck to him. Fingers crossed. Hope Brown gets the best out him.

He also managed 6 goals in 28 League and cup matches for Coventry in 2013/14 and 2014/5 seasons (League 1). He was capped for England Under 17s and Under 19s scoring a couple of vital goals for the Under 19s. Chelsea trainee. Played for West Ham in Premiership and Championship.

No need for such negativity over a short term signing with what seems to me to be a reasonable pedigree?

I'm happy to trust PB on this signing. Cox, Ferdinand, Fortune, Ranger (the footballer not the lost soul) not the worst signings PB has made so he is learning

Very hard to judge a player on just a few games at many clubs, the only worry is the Ipswich stats. However with the likes of Coxy and Fortune alongside could be ideal.Ranger must be a gonna!
