Francis is a liability to the team. was a joke today as he has been for weeks. tilly must keep him in there as he feels no one else can do any better, which leads to think what sankofa is like.

he was always going to be responsible for the goal today. used to think he was a great player but so in-consistant and one of the type of players that when they have a bad game he has a shocker. for me he's had too many shockers now and needs to sit on the bench.

When Sankofa filled in at right back whilst Harding was suspended, he did ok. Nothing spectacular and didn't offer much going forward, but he was solid and dependable. That's what we need more than anything else at the moment.

This is nothing new from Francis, he has always been suscepitable to giving the ball away, getting caught in possession and out of position; but this season he has been particularly woeful. It seems everyone can see this apart from those who make the decisions.

I agree with all that other than the in-consistant part, he is the most consistant player we have, he is always the worst player on the pitch!

Ridiculous. Imagine waht it is like for Betsy, knowing he has to do two players jobs, and knowing he is not going to get a pass to feet from his right back all game, and all the tracking back he has to do to bail Francis out of the ****!!

Francis was so poor today it ws untrue. Their left winger was taking him apart time after time. His laxness ended up costing us a goal.

He has a revolving door of wingers, strikers, dispatches of £200k players like Paynter after a few games, sends Moussa on loan, gets rid of Hunt, Maher, Bentley, Richards, and replaces them with guff frankly. How many more error strewn games do the back 4 have to have till they are dispatched onto the scrap heap like Hunt and Maher were.

I have to agree with most of that. In the last two or three years, we have dumped players who could have done a far better job than the shambles we saw out on the park today. I am not talking about players like Eastwood and Bailey - it is an unavoidable fact that we will always be a selling club - I am talking about players like Maher, Bentley, Hunt, Jupp and Sodje. With the exception of Maher, these are not 'skill' players, they were committed players with character and the will to win. We looked utterly feeble today - who wouldn't have wanted to see Benno surging down the right flank and giving the left-back a bloody good kicking? We don't seem to be able to impose ourselves on a game, we are lightweight in midfield, disorganised in defence and powder puff up front. A few more loan players are not going to address these needs.

No, but it's betsy's fault when he doesnt pick up his man and allows the 2 on 1 that led to the goal. I agree that francis has been a bit out of sorts recently but blame for todays goal lies totally with betsy.

Well I didn't actaully see the goal today so I can't comment on that.

I wanted my own thread, so people could discuss Simon Francis' performance today, rather than over a period of time, or TEAM match reports and player ratings, needed specific Francis is toilet coverage

I thought this would be back up soon. Francis had a decent game today imo, a lot better than recent weeks, the dart down the wing and the ball into the box was the Francis we want back!
