Sent my ratings and files in 2 weeks ago, and the demo is scheduled for release on Thursday to Steam users and on Friday to non-Steam users.

If the 3D Match Engine is anything like the one they just rolled out across Football Manager Live, it'll be excellent. Very much improved on the offerings and it runs perfectly smoothly.
 
Yes, the match engine that got loaded up onto FM Live is the one that will be used in FM11. And it's brilliant.

Yes, you can start a game on the demo and continue it when you have the full game. As always, the demo runs for half a season in game time.

I cannot divulge any ratings I'm afraid, not until the demo is out. I will, however, say that the only players I have rated are the very few who were here last season, plus Mohsni, who I had to create from scratch as he did not exist in the database. All of the new players who have joined SUFC this season will keep the ratings that the researchers of their previous clubs gave them until the January data update, which is the earliest time that I am allowed to touch their ratings. The reasoning being that, supposedly, the researchers at the previous clubs will know more about that player having seen them play more frequently than I have. Bit of a generalisation but there you go. I already have my eyes on some changes that will need to be made for the January update!
 
Really looking forward to this now - Will be nice to have a whole new squad as opposed to the usual Barrett, Francis, Barnard etc

Love to. Can't. Suspect the techs in the IT department wouldn't be too happy with me for pretty much wiping out the internet access of the entire campus for a football game demo.

I spent my entire first year downloading music, tv shows and porn. Strap on a pair and plead ignorance if they get upset...

If you can wipe out the campus internet for downloading a 4Gb game, then they deserve it for having such a crap internet set up.

yep I might get it just because of this, haven't really got much loyalty for any of the new players. before I remember feeling I had to keep my favourite southend players even though deep down I knew they weren't good enough!
