Football Manager 2009

I cant wait until it comes out. ive been stuck on 2001/2002 managing game for a while until i stated playing 2008 football manager and now im hooked.

3D match engine has been in development for ages and is based on the 3D graphics of a first-person football game which Sega have produced in the past. Mix that with the match engine, which SI have tweaked and tested to death due to FML this year, and it should be an excellent step up. If not, you can just switch back to 2D!

The other additions are great too. Remodelled regen, confidence and transfer modules, excellent!

This should be really good.

Plus, my Southend research this year should make the game even better for Southend fans :D

If it's anything like the FML engine, you lot are in for one of the most painstaking, downright irritating years of your life with this game then...

I think he only means that the 3D match engine was tested during FML and it is only 50% complete anyway. Hope its not as bad as FML. Can't wait until the demo is released!

Are any of these improvements going to make it onto the PSP version? there is hardly any difference between 2007 & 2008 editions so won't bother getting this one if it is the same again.

Looks a quality game. Can't wait for its release.

Currently running two games, Southend and Man City and I'm hooked on both.

The PSP will have the 2D match engine for the first time, this year.

Just seen the videos and that, and now I can't wait.

Thought it was being released Oct 21st and now I found out it's the 14th of November, meaning I have to wait another couple of weeks before I get my hands on it!

Damn them, but it looks like it'll be worth the wait.

Is there any other way to get on the Beta testing team?

Mate, go onto the Sports Interactive website. If there's nothing on there, try the Sports Interactive forums and the FootballManager.net website. Leaving a message on the message boards might get you somewhere!

This looks like it is shaping up nicely, and just heard that the FIFA 09 and PES 09 demos are up for download next Friday!

Don't get your hopes up for the PES demo. If I was you'd I'd steer clear of it, supposedly its nowhere near the latest version of the game. I really don't understand konami's logic here.
