Football Manager 07

I was playing FM07 last night. In the second season with Schalke 04 and doing alright. Had to laugh though when I got a report that Newcastle had sacked their manager and the fans were expecting a big name to replace him such as Sven Goran Eriksson, Fabio Capello or Steve Tilson.

GK: Kasper Schmeichel
DR: Andoni Iraola
DC: Nedum Onuoha (Phenomuoha as he's known to me)
DC: Luizao
DL: Armand Traore (Barca want him, He's going nowhere)
MC: Damian Tissone
AMR: Renato Augusto
AMC: Fernando Forestieri
AML: Maximilliano Moralez
FC: Bruno Mezenga
FC: Emilio Nsue

Quality British line up there

I once asked Francky Moussa to recommend a player and he told me he thought Patrick Viera would be a good signing.....

Cheers Franck.

Think it's out around Christmas... Though i'm more excited about FM Live

Normally its around October, Ive been on the testing team on the previous few versions but not doing this one so not sure if they are a bit behind this year.

I did test FM Live though, personally didnt find it particularly interesting as theres no set league as such just ad-hoc mini leagues and cup competitions that you set up when you like. More like an advanced fantasy football game than real Football Manager. Its more intended as a quick fix kind of game that you can just dip in and out of rather than a full blown management game.

That would be perfect for me.

I have a very strong feeling that a combination of FM2008, PES 2008 and Tiger Woods 2008 on the Wii will destroy any existing chance I had of graduating with a degree.

Speaking to the guys at SI (clique alert!) they are really looking at the quick fix market, ie people playing it quickly at work etc.

Could actually be pretty big, was just a bit light weight for me, but I have no studying :)

Someone on here suggested playing a 4-5-1, so i gave it a try and it has worked a treat for me. Paynter up top on his own has been a revelation for me. I also put Eastwood on the right wing in the 5 man midfield and he has been awesome playing in that position. The formation keeps it pretty tight at the back but i seem to score so many more goals playing a 4-5-1, Paynter seems to score in pretty much every game and Eastwood, Gower, Moussa, Maher and Jamie Peters have been bagging hatfuls from midfield as well

Rhys Henry of the u18 in about 3 seasons on my game becomes worth £5.5 million although i wasnt managing SUFC during that time he is starting for Man City and as i said is worth £5.5 mil easily

Finished 9th first season with Grays, ending with a 5-1 away win at Chelsea, who finished 3rd.

I've got 18 million to spend, tempted to get this amazing left/right back Tiago from Corinthians, 7 million min fee release, and a couple of decent central midfielders.
