Saw a great war film yesterday Greyhound on apple TV.
Tom hanks is a captain of an American warship and in command of 3 other allied warships trying to protect a convoy of 37 allied ships in the Atlantic from a wolf pack of German U boats really good watch lots of action..

Certainly not.It's not a Hoillywood film nor a SF film at all.Hopefully most British punters will be able to see it at a cinema ((rather than on a digital platform) next year to make up their own minds.

Yes, the city at night in particular. I was reading that the scene where O'Brien is running down the street was shot without a permit and some of the passers by look bemused at what is happening

It was a choice between that and the new Bill Nighy film Living. Think we defiantly went for the wrong one. Its classed as a black comedy, but i'd say its more a horror / physiological with only a few laughs thrown in.

Silver screen this week was Ticket to Paradise with Julia Roberts and George Clooney. Set in Bali. Two divorced parents horrible daughter decides to marry someone from Bali. The worst film I've ever seen. Just no redeeming features whatsoever. Even manages to make Bali a must miss destination. As George Whitebread might have said, I've three words for this film. ****e , ****e and ****e. Even worse than Love Actually.

More Yank 'We won the War' bollocks no doubt. The vast majority of naval convoy cover were Royal Navy and Canadian Royal Navy, not the ****ing Yanks with their rewriting of history crap.

Your wrong... the film is correct the American Navy along with the Royal Navy and Canadian Navy did provide Warships to protected convoys crossing the Atlantic during WW2.
You should give it a watch its a really good film.
