Films you've watched recently.

These are the words of another cinema-goer that I totally agree with ...The real plus is that "Be My Baby" The Ronettes (produced by Phil Spector) plays through the final credits) Another Boring Horror Film - Barbarian

There seems to be no limit to what passes for entertainment these days. I almost fell asleep after watching 20 minutes of this turkey waiting for something significant to happen. A woman alone in a spooky house; how original. Only been done a few hundred times before. But the producers want you to believe that this one will be different.
It's not. If it had not been a free pass from my friend who is a theater manager, I would not have viewed this junk in the first place, but It was the only film playing at the time that was convenient for me, so I gave it a shot. I would have been better off watching the Minions again in one of the other theaters.

With an IMDB of 7.1, I'll look forward to this one all the same.

That's pretty much what I thought after seeing the trailer.Still it must have been good to hear The Ronettes again. :Winking:

Saw Where the Crawdads Sing at the silver screen. Good whodunnit in the North Carolina marshes.
Saw Fisherman's Friends 2 last week. Cornish feel good hokum. The cast of the group all spoke in Robert Newton Cornish. The real group who featured at the end all seemed to be from Hampstead

I went to the cinema the other week and saw "All Quiet On The Western Front" (2022)-subtitled......I saw it again on Netflix (dubbed) it is a "must see anti war film".

This week's silver screen was Beast with Idris Elba. Him and his 2 annoying daughters are on Safari with a rogue lion on the prowl. A definite 5 out of 10. Disappointing.

Copland - excellent cast, decent story.
It’s a Really good film , as you say excellent cast and story. I have never understood why it wasn’t a bigger hit———— and then I saw the trailer, oh dear, it’s almost as though it’s taking the ****. I don’t know if it has dates badly ( the film hasn’t) or was crap back then
