Films you've watched recently.

“I see you”
Much much better than the average score on IMBD 6.8
I think that might be because it isn’t what you think it is. Won’t say any more but some very good twists I didn’t see coming. Strongly Recommend

James Stewart? Iirc. Lots of these films were carried by the top actors, Stewart, , Wayne, Scott, Ford, Ladd, Peck, Heston etc.
And now that calibre of actor is largely missing, as are the scripts and plots.
Indeed many of the big stars of today are not young guns or of a suitable age for roles of young cowboys. Hanks, Duvell, Pitt, Costner, etc are all past the 50 yrs and seemingly there is a dearth of new 20/30 or 40 year old wannabe stars successful in making the top.

If your talking westerns then you have to have Clint Eastwood on yourl list.

As we are talking classics. Well worth a watch on Netflix is Five came Back. Its the story of what the biggest directors of the time did during WW2. Far moire interesting than it sounds. Especially the thinking of the time on how to counteract the Nazis who by then had specialised in propaganda.

Edit. Just noticed they are showing the films they made in a series of the same name. Its the first series you should watch, with all the interviews with past and present directors.
