Films you've watched recently.

Capt America civil war,six other peeps in the flicks, not my bag but enjoyed it with a shout out to a very funny hero, trainer for a animal film looked brilliant, very funny indeed.

Thats the one , it is such a great story with plenty of good actors in it .

Indeed it is.Remember first seeing it in Brum ,(with my then girlfriend), back in the 70's.Seen it many times since. It remains one of the few FF novels I've read too.Not as gripping as the film,IMO.

I enjoyed The Jungle Book, but beware if you're thinking of taking young children. My five year olds found it a bit too scary!

But, despite numb legs brought about my daughter sitting on my lap for most of the film, a solid 8/10. Visually stunning, some good nods to the Disney classic and the 1h 50m just flew by.

Batman vs Superman, saw it on the I-pad today and what a load of dross. The storyline was flimsy at best. With all the other superhero films out and about to come out, IMHO it failed to hit the target by a long way. 2/10

Avengers civil war, another film I managed to watch on the I-pad, was hoping for more superheroes as Marvel could had used any of their super hero's in this film. With Spider-Man, ant man and black panther replacing the hulk and Thor it mangled to keep the pace going. All in all a good old family film 7/10

The Jungle Book, 7/10 too long and too much padding. I did like the colonel Kurtz bit in the temple.

Bank holiday here today, so I was able to see El Olivo (The Olive Tree).

Watch out for this charming Spanish film, scripted by Paul Laverty, (Ken Loach's usual scriptwriter),when it gets a UK release.

Talking of Ken Loach,I see he's made all his back catalogue available on YouTube.Nice one Ken.

Mustang - Turkish film, streamed to my laptop legally for £9. Superb, 5 care-free sisters have their lives changed forever over one summer as they get accused of "lewd behaviour". 9.5/10

Sounds a bit arthouse.

Next thing you know you will be watching bleak black and white independent films about the Balkan conflict.
