FC - Week 6

I'm trying to work out my transfers, I like the look of Liburd as a kind of top order batter/6th bowler and I have 9.5 million to spend and sell McVeigh, Bowden and Asher when they pop to get a young 5th bowler.

Would it be better to get Liburd now and hope for another 19yr old bowler comes on the market, or get a 19yr old bowler and hope another Batting A/R comes on the market?

More chance of a pure bowler coming on the market, rather than a specific A/R IMO.

Its difficult to tell, especially if he's been trained this season. He could be superb +0 if he has average secondaries. If he hasn't been trained this season, he'll be +2 at most.

Very nice player though, especially with the fast bowling.

End of Over 24 (Maiden, 2b). lees lads: 54-6, runrate=2.25 (1st Inn: 64-10)

Fear* 0 (5 balls)
Frederick 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Mccarthy b. Whittingham 0 (FOW: 54/6)

I think The King is playing for his red ink, he keeps taking a single off the 1st ball of the over and leaving Charlie to bat out the rest

End of Over 70 (1 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 227-9, runrate=3.24
Trail by 174 runs. (Danish Batmen 401-5 dec)

He looks very nice. Sookie will be better at this time next year though! :) But im going to have to resist the urge of selling him for silly money!

Kev
Johnson's all your mate.

That'll teach him :)

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 72 (4 runs). BATTY SHRIMPERS: 232-10, runrate=3.22
Trail by 169 runs. (Danish Batmen 401-5 dec)
Thomas 17-2-57-2
Charl* 1 (54 balls)

71.2 W Thomas to Evelyn
That one's come back the other way. It's totally fooled Evelyn who gifts a thick edge to the ever-reliable Mbangwn.

End of Over 48 (1 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 217-6, runrate=4.52
Trail by 415 runs. (Sky Blues 632-9 dec)
Mpilo 15-3-53-3
Potter* 121 (144 balls)
Mohammed 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Higgs b. Mpilo 3 (FOW: 217/6)

Bowled opps for 14 in first innings and 164 in second. That's 4th place and all the early season worries over. I won't go any higher than this but also won't slip back below 4th.

Trainee and 2nd best bowler follows up 5 for 10 with 7 for 25. 2nd line spinner 5 for 4 - all round star was rested for this game.

And that's the end of the match. Napster's XI won by an innings and 314 runs.

End of Over 42 (Maiden). lees lads: 77-10, runrate=1.83 (1st Inn: 64-10)

Erasmus 20-4-55-1
Phillips* 23 (63 balls)
Stanton 0 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Bayliss b. Erasmus 83 (FOW: 200/2)

I must admit i was close to a bid there BB, but haven't got ANY nets to spare, so alas, wasn't worth my while! I'll be bringing in Johnson in time for Friday!

There was only 2 of us bidding. Must be honest, I was surprised, but I'm not knocking it :)
