FC- week 6

My oppo has obviously wised up to the game and avoided making me follow on (after hitting 35) to get his 3 days receipts in. No doubt he won't do the same next week when I'm at home :(

Virtually all the first teamers rested for Friday's one dayer, which I'll probably lose and Sunday's SZ league - currently top of the basement division woohoo !

Almost halfway through the season and at least the Sunday comp is keeping me interested. Roll on next season when I can compete with teams of my own ability.

Perhaps he's realised he isn't strong enough for promotion ? Only wish I'd done the same last year. :(

You get more XP from big scores and taking wickets, you'll definitely want to stay down. IV teams would eat you alive and you'd get low gates and lose members.

Ah, OK. Fair enough. I'll try and lose some games then

:)

I lead by 76 overnight, oppo had all 10 2nd wickets in hand, need to bowl them out for under 250 at a guess. All depends on getting his star bat Fenton out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB has declared with a lead of 491, just needs to bowl them out now.

I batted a couple of overs to allow Pembridge to get his 150 (hopefuly that'll help his experience) and set the opposition 755 to win. I should win, the question is how much it will take out of my knackered bowlers. Their effectiveness was limited by their fitness in the first innings and I'm contemplating sending out the reserves against Ladbrokes tomorrow.

I've got an early breakthrough, not Fenton unfortunately, but it's a start
