Have managed to grab a couple of wickets so hopefully I'll have them all out before long. Can't see me reaching a declarable total, but what advice do you reckon? Should I just bat as long as I can (what I would do in regular cricket), or should I look to declare at a certain total, try and bowl them out and then chase a target?

Or am i worrying a bit too much about nothing?

End of Over 96 (Maiden). Peaslake CC: 243-6, runrate=2.53

I wouldn't declare before 360 as you'll deprive yourself of bonus points if you do. It really depends how you see yourself against them, if you think you can win easily declare at 360, if not try and bat past that and then bowl them out cheaply.

Got my runs in 92 overs, leaving me 18 at them tonight.

Well they are resisting a little bit better here in their second innings! Chuffed to skittle them so quickly in the first innings though. Means it will be over tomorrow and gives the lads a days rest before Fridays tricky game against Gatley!

A great day for me. Put opps in on my dusty track with 4 spinners ! Expecting a tough day but bowled them out for 172 with my star seamer taking yet another 5er. 231 for 2 in reply. Will reset dec for 450 and hopefully make it and not have to bat again. Change in money makes 3rd day less of an issue. Early days but 2nd spot is looking doable for season.

Not unduly worried about PFL here. Had one eye on the fixtures and needed to start first two tough FC and OD games like a steam train. My bowler focussed training appears to be reaping rewards. I'm now convinced for relative newbies this is the right approach. I only have 1 strong, 1 superb and 1 wonderful bat. The rest a mixture of profs and resps seem to do enough between them unless we come up against a bowler as strong as my seamer or all rounder.

I can use 2020 next week to rest a few. I'm far too strong to get relegated from my division but not strong enough to promote. Apart from one tough FC game I then have another couple of easy weeks to rotate squad.

Forgot to set my team, but the first XI have been shocking anyway. 155 all out and they are 124-4 in reply.

Batting first at home made 271 all out, new signing Williams getting 154*, his sensational experience coming to the fore as wickets toppled around him. Only Swayne 38 and Cunningham 40 giving any support.

Oppo 124-1 at close, if i can get either of the current batsmen out they're not strong beneath that.

Rattled up 361-4 in 92 overs. Oppo ended the day 31-0.

Mrs BB 19-0 in reply to oppo's score of 552-1 dec.

Missed out on the extra point being bowled out for 278, picked up one wicket in the eight overs of bowling we had, leaving them 21/1.
