FC - Week 2

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Home to a side who also won their 1st game by an innings. Evelyn, Singh and Kekeletso haven't quite recovered from last weeks exertions, so Hogg (WK) and Prasad come in. Lockett also comes in after his 7 wicket haul in Sunday's cup game. Middleton and Schoeman will bat at 6 and 7 to try and save a bit of PFL.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Poetry in Motion

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

We're 5-0 off the 1st 2 overs.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB is struggling bowling-wise today, so she'll do well to get a draw.

Woodham XI v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that Woodham XI won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy day.

Oppo 13-0 off the 1st 2 overs

They seem to have rested players which is a bonus as we're away so will be looking ot get the match out of the way asap.

Welcome to Broad Street CG for the match between Broad Street CC and ShrimperZone CC.

Away to a side who've got a flat pitch, but look like an easy opponent

Welcome to Allbrook Allstars CG for the match between Allbrook Allstars and Napster's XI.

We can tell you that Napster's XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this partially cloudy and humid day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

End of Over 4 (1 runs). Allbrook Allstars: 11-2, runrate=2.75

Allan 7-2-17-4
Greene* 0 (0 balls)

14.5 W Allan to Saint
Oh dear, bowled by a full toss, that should really have been given the treatment.
14.4 . Allan to Saint
A horrible little grubber ball, which takes Saint by surprise. He'll be doing some gardening in the area where that one pitched, I expect.
14.3 . Allan to Saint
Good length, bad line. Outside off stump and Saint just happily lets that one go through to Perry who briefly fumbles with the ball.
14.2 . Allan to Saint
Played and missed by Saint, and Perry quickly removes the bails despite the fact Saint was clearly safe in his crease. A warning glare from the umpire not to do that again while Perry replaces the bails.
14.1 . Allan to Saint
Considerable away swing and Saint offers no shot.

End of Over 14 (Maiden). Allbrook Allstars: 21-9, runrate=1.50
Van niekerk 7-4-4-5
Saint* 0 (5 balls)
Greene 0 (0 balls)

Oppo looks to have rested a few players, so should make this seasons FC a bit easier as they are probably my main rivals.

Kev

Going well atm, hopefully Brucie and Del-Boy won't have to do much batting. Declaration set at 360, so should get a few overs at them tonight.

I noticed that Kev.

On my latest game, I am at home against a team that drew its last match. Certainly not been as easy as my previous match as I lost the toss and am bowling. Could do with a breakthrough.

Oh and it says im third in my FC league, when im actually top! Anyone else come across this viewing error?!
Snap, I always work on the basis that some nerd will have reported it 5 seconds after it happened on the Bugs board.

Disappointed not to have rolled them over quicker here. Still, most of the rested players are bowlers so our innings should be a swift one.

End of Over 65 (4 runs). Broad Street CC: 127-6, runrate=1.95
Plummer 9-2-23-1
Webb* 0 (14 balls)

Annoying, Jeffers goes cheaply.

Thabo runs out of partners. Hope it doesn't take this long to bowl them out tomorrow or we'll be entering a third day. 27 overs left, hopefully we can get at least 130/140 on the board tonight then go attacking in the morning.

I'd say that's a result. You're going to win the game easily, might as well take the saving of PFL as a bonus, especially as he's already as low as Lively.

Actually, I've just checked your squad list, and some of them are looking dangerously low on PFL.
