FC - The Final Countdown

Survival almost confirmed. Reached 360 with 7 wickets lost and oppo are 9 down for just a few runs and will make them follow on and wrap up the win tomorrow!

Lost Lamo early doors but Sini and Chandra held on and we're 58-1. 11 wickets today, sunny again tomorrow, assuming we manage to avoid the follow on a draw is the overwhelming favourite.

Muse however really needs to get to 9 wickets before Gatley declare!

End of Over 110 (Maiden). Gatley: 317-7, runrate=2.88
Blake 24-9-45-1
Hibbert* 20 (45 balls)
Howard 22 (65 balls)
Last Wicket: Flinders b. Raipur 3 (FOW: 273/7)

Hibbert has an FC average of 2.64 and a previous high score of 10. In fact, at the age of 23, he's nearly doubled his career runs!! :nope:

That's ever so slightly annoying! Time to only bowl Raipur, Blake and Rennie tomorrow I think. Have to have 4 annoyingly but should hopefully not get that far. Sunny weather so I really hope we'd make 200/240 or whatever is needed.

BOT proved slightly more adhesive in the 2nd inns, ending the day on 24/5. However, in the more important game, the leaders toiled away in the field watching the oppo crawl their way to 289/4

End of Over 26 (1 runs). Jadenshire: 24-5, runrate=0.92 (1st Inn: 23-10)
Trail by 314 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 361-2 dec)
Coldicott 5-3-6-0
Mannix* 7 (44 balls)
Goodhind 1 (38 balls)

Last Wicket: Awan Hit Wicket b. Singh 0 (FOW: 7/5)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great final 2 sessions of the day for Mrs BB, have put her firmly in the driving seat. In the other game, the leaders were bowled out for 250, but had their oppo 52/2 at the close. Sunny weather is forecast for today in that game though, with PC for tomorrow.

End of Over 30 (7 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 103-0, runrate=3.43
Trail by 125 runs. (Pudlington CC 228-10)
Blackburn 9-1-37-0
Titterton* 43 (77 balls)
Zubair 52 (103 balls)

Day 2, and looking likely to finish with a 100% record.

Little Stoke Cricket Club 1st Innings 124
Deleven 1st Innings 147
Little Stoke Cricket Club 2nd Innings 26-7

Muse has picked up his bowling points now. His next survival step is for me to avoid the follow on, 58 runs to go but we're two down with our batting looking rather suspect past No. 5 at the moment.

End of Over 29 (5 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 108-2, runrate=3.72
Trail by 208 runs. (Angband Town 316-10)
Overs remaining today: 96
Montgomery 2-0-7-0
Guneratne* 54 (92 balls)
Cunningham 1 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba b. Hunt-seviour 41 (FOW: 93/2)

need to break this partnership.

End of Over 73 (Maiden, 1b). The Muffin Men: 201-6, runrate=2.75
Trail by 16 runs. (Pettefershire CCC 217-10)
Overs left today: 76
Barnes 15-3-40-2
Byfield* 22 (36 balls)
Tau 17 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Alabaster c. Yeates b. Cairns 36 (FOW: 175/6)

Turns out I wouldn't have been forced to follow on but we've passed that mark anyway now. Hopefully we can continue pushing on and reduce their lead, reckon if we can get to 250 the draw is almost certain. Muse is 60/1 so on course for his batting point.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 50 (1 run). ShrimperZone CC: 170-3, runrate=3.40
Trail by 146 runs. (Angband Town 316-10)
Overs left today: 75
Davis 9-0-29-0
Wanless* 15 (44 balls)
Guneratne 85 (159 balls)

Last Wicket: Cunningham c. Olivier b. Montgomery 10 (FOW: 124/3)

My championship deciding game is going well so far, having bowled them out for 134 yesterday, i'm 251-4 and looking like possibly wrapping it up in 2 days.

Chandra fell and my two batting trainees made 1 each without even burning off many overs with blocking. Last recognised batting partnership in but they're doing ok. 165 overs left, Angband are now favourites as it's PCH tomorrow.

End of Over 70 (1 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 214-6, runrate=3.06
Trail by 102 runs. (Angband Town 316-10)
Overs remaining today: 55
Calcutt 21-6-50-0
Wanless* 33 (110 balls)
Graham 22 (25 balls)

Last Wicket: Nadeeka c. Olivier b. Priyantha 1 (FOW: 179/6)

Wrapped up my 22 points earlier this morning, now have to sit and wait on the result of the other game. Leaders are now 97/2 in reply to 312ao, so looking good for us at the moment.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB on course for her 360, then just needs to bowl them out again. Leaders scored 250, and have oppo 171/7 in reply, so are probably favourites for a win.

Pudlington CC v DIBS DIPPERS

DIBS DIPPERS have resumed their innings.

Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 89 (7 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 295-3, runrate=3.31
Lead by 67 runs. (Pudlington CC 228-10)
Overs remaining today: 51
Nicholls 21-4-59-1
Morgan* 30 (48 balls)
Hutton 27 (52 balls)

Last Wicket: Titterton Run Out 107 (FOW: 243/3)

Doing some maths here, I reckon we're just about at the point where they won't be able to declare overnight if I was all out now. So every over we get through is like 1.5 we won't have to face tomorrow (assuming we score slowly therefore adding runs to what they need to get to).

At this rate if we can see out another 15 overs I reckon we'll need to survive around 80 tomorrow. It's going to be tight, depends how quickly they score tonight once they get in. They just dropped one which is fortunate.

End of Over 78 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 229-6, runrate=2.94
Trail by 87 runs. (Angband Town 316-10)
Overs left today: 47
Montgomery 12-3-27-1
Graham* 34 (41 balls)
Wanless 35 (142 balls)

Last Wicket: Nadeeka c. Olivier b. Priyantha 1 (FOW: 179/6)

i am playing a nothing game in another mediocre season (altho expect to win FC and perhaps my BT20 next season)

to that effect, i made my first press release in 2 and a half years!

Uh oh, Muse suddenly might not get his batting point. If he doesn't and we both draw I think he'll be level with Angband, what's the decider?

End of Over 58 (1 runs). Southend: 180-6, runrate=3.10
Trail by 148 runs. (Gatley 328-10)
Overs remaining today: 40
Naidoo 11-1-48-2
Tsietsi* 48 (81 balls)
Blake 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Rennie c. Sayce b. Naidoo 1 (FOW: 178/6)

We're into the tail and need to bat out about another ten overs if we're going to make that scenario a possibility!

End of Over 85 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 238-8, runrate=2.80
Trail by 78 runs. (Angband Town 316-10)
Overs left today: 40
Davis 12-2-33-0
Gulzar* 0 (2 balls)
Wanless 40 (164 balls)

Last Wicket: Gustav c. Olivier b. Montgomery 1 (FOW: 237/8)

Just checked and it's most wins then fewer losses. Angband have lost three to Muse's four so he would go down without that batting point! I'm another wicket down so I suspect I will lose anyway.

B you're in danger of bowling them out too quickly there! If you can get them ao for 100, do so, otherwise let their tail wag for 40 overs please

We are doing okay, but Tsiets has ran out of partners really, 21 shy of another point. Am I right in thinking I stay up so long as I match Angband's result?

End of Over 71 (4 runs). Southend: 219-8, runrate=3.08
Trail by 109 runs. (Gatley 328-10)
Overs left today: 27
Naidoo 14-1-56-3
Tsietsi* 77 (126 balls)
Carey 0 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Blake c. Eckhoff b. Naidoo 8 (FOW: 219/8)

EDIT: Tsietsi out so that's this innings done really.

Yep, now that you have your batting point you wil stay up if we both draw. An extra batting point makes no odds to you other than the fact that the longer you bat for, the better chance of the draw.

Yep, I don't want wickets right now!! What I need to do is get their RR under 3, that way I should only hav eto survive about 70 overs tomorrow. Though saying that I'm sure he'll go with an aggressive declaration.

End of Over 10 (1 run). Angband Town: 36-2, runrate=3.60 (1st Inn: 316-10)
Lead by 105 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 247-10)
Overs left today: 26
Gulzar 5-0-18-1
Benitez* 14 (30 balls)
Court 4 (13 balls)

Last Wicket: Olivier b. Gulzar 14 (FOW: 18/2)

Leaders in my division are 9 down, and still 162 behind......

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB should wrap up her victory from here, so it will all be down to how BBM get on. At the moment it looks like they're going to have a lead of around 200 going into the last day.
