Hmmm, Muse appears to have thrown his match, he's first and I'm second, could I be looking at promotion to II?

I notice the weather in Essex for tomorrow has changed to cloudy and humid.....

Plums strikes just when they were starting to plunder runs (Cattermole is on and chucking his pies as usual).

Lost Evelyn to the 1st ball of the day , could do with Pollock getting out now, as we're going to get our 360.

Trail by 103 runs. (Pettefershire CCC 233-10)

Only one more breakthrough, frustrating given that my top order surrendered so meekly yesterday, thank god for Plums and Mario. Draw looking favourite now unless we can find two quick wickets from somewhere.

Load of old tosh. We're in a malaise with 1 win from 5 (against a bot) so morale is down and it's clearly affecting us.

The players are off the field for tea.

Sookram 52 (69 balls)

Last Wicket: Browne c. Dennis b. Flowers 9 (FOW: 50/3)

It took me 123 balls to Inam out. Now he is their number 9 and thus not good at batting... It then took them just under 300 balls to get my entire team out. Yeah great one. Like i'd predicted, its more bowler friendly conditions tomorrow, so the chances of me drawing are slim-to-none!

Kev

Managed to beat the first placed team by 7 wickets inside two days. I think that might put me top. Eitherway, promotion is between us two.

I'm not quite sure how I twice managed to bowl him out on a flat pitch in sunny conditions, but I'm not complaining. I think he was playing for the draw.

Rattled up my 360, and as expected my oppo's 1st innings efforts knackered them out for the 2nd innings. We have them 67-4, and we're into the tail already. All bolwers set to V. Attacking to try and get it done nice and quickly.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB won by and inns and some, and has a 29 point lead at the top.

Well this is a good start

End of Over 2 (2 runs). Southend United: 2-3, runrate=1.00 (1st Inn: 361-5 dec)
Lead by 112 runs. (Vulgar Boatmen C.C. 251-10)
Overs left today: 109
Barnard 1-0-2-3
Marcel* 1 (1 balls)
Hulse 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Wright lbw b. Barnard 0 (FOW: 2/3)
1.6 W Barnard to Wright
Big inswinger and a massive inside edge... but he's given him. Wright can't believe it, and neither can I. What a bad call from the umpire.
1.5 W Barnard to Hoult
Attempting a leg glance, Hoult plays all around a full ball on middle and leg. It would have been an easy decision for the umpire, but he didn't get a chance to raise his finger as Hoult walks off, glumly.
1.4 1 Barnard to Marcel
Just short of a length, and angling in to Marcel, but he works it away to leg side for a single.
1.3 W Barnard to Ryan
Ryan shuffles across his stumps to a ball of fullish length from Barnard. Trapped plumb in front.
1.2 1 Barnard to Hoult
Hoult has taken a wild swing at that half volley, but all he has managed to do is bottom edge it onto his foot. Lock runs across from square leg to field whilst the batsmen run a single...and Hoult now seems to be limping.
1.1 . Barnard to Hoult
Hoult shoulders arms outside off and the ball nips back, just missing off stump.

We're in the lead and have set a declaration at 250, though I meant that to be 250 ahead so we'll only have 230 to defend. Draw is the overwhelming favourite but if we have 40 overs to play with and can tickle a couple out early it could make things interesting. Just hope we don't score too quickly!

End of Over 12 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 23-0, runrate=1.92 (1st Inn: 269-10)
Lead by 1 runs. (icedgod 291-10)
Overs left today: 108
Easton 6-3-5-0
Sinethemba* 5 (28 balls)
Cunningham 16 (45 balls)

Knew this would happen, suddenly we know how to bat again and now I'm in danger of throwing the game away through a silly declaration!

End of Over 23 (9 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 76-0, runrate=3.30 (1st Inn: 269-10)
Lead by 54 runs. (icedgod 291-10)
Overs left today: 97
Kealeboga 5-0-22-0
Sinethemba* 22 (52 balls)
Cunningham 52 (87 balls)

Excellent ! Should be a nice easy win today, and not too much of a PFL hit

BATTY SHRIMPERS v No Talent Allstars

No Talent Allstars have resumed their innings.

Pitch: Green
The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 44 (Maiden). No Talent Allstars: 93-10, runrate=2.11 (1st Inn: 363-2)
Lead by 94 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 362-5)
Overs remaining today: 92
Schoeman 15-5-30-3
Eyre* 0 (8 balls)

Hmmm, interesting permutations here. We have 150 runs to our declaration and if we get there too quick we're really going to shoot ourselves in the foot. But if we lose another couple of wickets (which could happen given the conditions) we'll then be in a very defensive position.

End of Over 31 (1 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 100-1, runrate=3.23 (1st Inn: 269-10)
Lead by 78 runs. (icedgod 291-10)
Overs left today: 89
Tasawwar 2-0-3-0
Cunningham* 63 (109 balls)
Lamey 6 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba b. Mcleod 28 (FOW: 90/1)

I think you might have timed it to perfection. Another 150 runs is going to take you about 40 overs, leaving 50 overs for them to score 230, or for you to bowl them out. Should be a good finish.....
