FC - Match 5

Hmmm, not the start I was hoping for!!

End of Over 3 (1 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 9-2, runrate=3.00 (1st Inn: 299-7 dec)
Lead by 35 runs. (Moss Side CC 273-10)
Overs left today: 17
Boyce 2-0-5-1
Sandile* 1 (2 balls)
Cunningham 6 (8 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamey c. Garrick b. Boyce 1 (FOW: 8/2)

Bit annoyling to be left stranded on 199*, still a good knock from my No4 batsman, and a tenth wicket partnership of 46 to wind the oppos up and give me a first innings lead of 307.

Seventeen overs left to have a go at them tonight, so a a couple of wickets would be nice.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 127 (Maiden). The Flying Scotsmen: 541-10, runrate=4.26
Lead by 307 runs. (Commodores cc 234-10)
Overs left today: 17
Earnshaw 33-0-165-1
Rowson* 199 (217 balls)

126.1 W Earnshaw to Woodhall
That's a peach of a delivery from Earnshaw and it's hit Woodhall plum in front. They're going bananas. It's like a fruit salad out there.

Just the one wicket at the close of play. Will be setting my bowlers to attack and hopefully tie this up by Tea tomorrow.

End of Over 17 (1 runs). Commodores cc: 65-1, runrate=3.82 (1st Inn: 234-10)
Trail by 242 runs. (The Flying Scotsmen 541-10)
Overs left today: 0
Mclaren 2-0-11-0
Tusitha* 21 (38 balls)
Chiwira 31 (39 balls)

Hmmm, 26 runs ahead from first innings, it was going to be tricky to pick a declaration for tomorrow however we're already 79-4 in the second innings so it might be irrelevant anyway! Vital brisk 42 from Sandy rescued us from 20-3, will be looking to get at least 150 ahead and then hope my bowlers can do the trick in bowling conditions.

Just had my best ever yoof pull. Not really too sure what to with him really.

Warren Sedgemore (2731708) Warren is a RH Batsman and RF Bowler. He is a defensive player with respectable leadership skills and abysmal experience.

He currently has respectable batting form, respectable bowling form and fresh fitness.

Well they went from 165-4 to 171 all out. Waters taking 5-44 and Guy taking 4-28. They then closed at 91-4, with once again, just one wicket needed to get into the long tail. With bowling friendly conditions, hopefully it shouldn't take too long!

Getting there.

hopefully on track for what would be a good win.

And thats that. 100% record maintained in FC.

The Flying Scotsmen won by an innings and 117 runs.

Commodores cc won the toss and elected to bat.

MOTM: Decision Pending

I declared on 327/2 and bowled my opponents (who scored 397 in the first innings) out for 10. Yes, ten.

Varney took the legendary figures of 8.4-3-6-8 (incl 1 wide). There was also a run-out.

Ten sounds a bit ridiculous, but their first innings was built entirely around a 357 second wicket partnership between their only two proper batsmen. I was always confident that those two would be knackered and on a humid day my bowlers would run through them in double quick time.

Skittled my oppo for 117 this morning and won by an innings and 145! Johnson chipping in with a 5fer.

Tomorrow's oppo (MrB's old league mates) EVG are currently heading to a bore draw and its knackering their bowlers out nicely. The game is more bowler friendly conditions so i'll be looking to bowl first and see where that gets me. Should be at full strength and not too many fitness probs, although im sure most might be at energetic and/or invigorated! £500,000 taken for the 3 days play and bank balance upto 2.3 million and ticking along nicely!

End of Over 41 (6 runs). White Lodge Wizards: 90-5, runrate=2.20 (1st Inn: 350-10)

Frustrating partnership here.

Innings Details for Riddell Riddell lbw b. Sipho 18 61 1 0
Innings Details for Dhindsa Dhindsa (*) not out 3 22 0 0

None of them can bat well. Shambles. Match drawn.

They needed 153 in their second innings to win and at 81-1 it wasn't looking good but then Suthers kicked into life and finished with 6-60 to win us the game.
