End of Over 33 (Maiden). Queens Park CC: 80-6, runrate=2.42 (1st Inn: 233-10)
Trail by 140 runs. (Southend 205-10 & 248-10)

For the 3rd time in the 3 games this season my bowlers have produced the goods on the final day to skittle a side out in a run chase. Should be 3 wins out of 3 soon.

Opps are currently 94 for 6 about 220 in front. This has all the makings of me being bowled out for about 50. Im hoping they set a high declaration and keep batting

End of Over 95 (3 runs). Southend United: 416-4, runrate=4.38 (1st Inn: 192-10)
Lead by 240 runs. (Bobbys Gentle Touch 368-5 dec)
Strydom 16-0-49-2
Hulse* 13 (18 balls)
Gichki 1 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Marcel c. Griffin b. Strydom 193 (FOW: 414/4)

Could be one to watch. 3859007. I need 192 from 40 with 9 still intact. Mckie averages a run a ball and if he sticks around as he usually does it could get interesting

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 119 (Maiden). Southend United: 480-10, runrate=4.03 (1st Inn: 192-10)
Lead by 304 runs. (Bobbys Gentle Touch 368-5 dec)
Butt 23-5-88-4
Cahill* 0 (10 balls)
118.1 W Butt to Lake
The bowler held that one back a touch and Lake's drive only succeeded in giving Butt a return catch. Well held!

Ended up winning comfortably! Browne and Sookram took me to a good dec total and they needed 280 which they would have never reached. Took early wickets and skittled them for 32 runs and with the top team drawing, i should go back to the top!!

Getting tense yet?

Once Mckie fell I thought I might collapse but that was a comfortable enough draw. Only 4 Pts for that but 12 for the match. Happy with my bowling performance in this match and one key bowler was rested for this. Clearly weak on batting but most of my training is now bat focussed. If I can scrape 4th thus season I will be much more competitve batting next season and should be able to swap a reserve bowler through the TM Market to beef middle order.
