Favourite away game this season?

Palace.. still has a hint of proper groundness in the middle of a slum.. Half time was a great, 15 minutes of illusion before the awful reality of our corner defence struck home!

Palace was good... good away support, old school ground with some typically classy South London fans, Market Porter beforehand. I'll take Ipswich though, for the result, away noise and sheer comic genius of our first goal.

I'm going to go with Sheffield Wednesday as a ground, great to see a big stadium that, unlike many, has plenty of character being an old ground. In terms of vocal support i'm going to go for that cold, horrible friday night game against Luton. For the sheer quality of the goals and the way we gave ourselves a chance it has to be preston, and in terms of Final result the Ipswich, Cardiff and Birmingham games.
I don't want to have to go to hartlepool and brisbane Road next year, please boys just stay up!!!

only been to two: White Hart Lane and Spurs away :( . goind to southampton which will be the best as we will secure championship status wooop

Wolves away. Because everyone loves to drive 160 miles to an away game for the first time, and be 3-0 down in 20 mins don't they? Oh.

Agreed with Scroungers comments about Ipswich. The General, Bob Cratchitt and I staring at a lovely WPC!

Also enjoyed everything about Sunderland apart from the game. I think this is the one where we had fittie steward, and I spent the entire second half deliberating in my mind over Spooners replacement.

Coventry was funny as well. Einstein dressed as the mask, drinking his beer with a straw!!

i saw the mask. very funny!!!!

Hard choice.

Brum - good noise, great result, decent ground and view, good prices too.
Cardiff - great result, great weekend as we stayed in Cardiff and spent the whole time with grins on our faces.
Barnsley in the cup - lunatic support, great performance, sweet revenge.

my winner though is .......

Preston - great support, great spirit, great goals, restoration of hope from despair.

I second that choice but add Ipswich to the list - great singing from the blues fans as was Sheffield Woeday -but the result spoilt that. The Leeds cup match must be right up there too for the way we played them off the park with a makeshift team and stunned them and the pundits

Have only missed Burnley and Bournemouth away this year

Wednesday was best for atmosphere from away fans (although Leeds in the league wasn't that shabby)
Ipswich best for team performance (plus having lived in Ipswich, the 1st time I've seen us win there)
Preston for quality of goals

Sunderland was OK until the minute we kicked off!

I disagree about your last point. We were all over Sunderland for the first three minutes.

Best stadium away from RH, was the MCG on Boxing Day...

Seriously, best away game, Ipswich due to the way we outplayed them & the fun I had emailing my photo of the final scoreboard to all my Ipswich customers. Also an Ipswich mate who before the game was talking about 5-1 or 5-2 scorelines (seriously c0cky ****) getting the ache with game that he cancelled our post match beer!!

Spurs (League Cup) for atmosphere & performance & going back to Leeds in the League, for emotional family reasons & for taking a few quid off the bookies (Bet 24!!) too!

Worst Col U, sh!T ground & view & that **** Steve Bennett ruining a good game!

My best away game was Real Madrid Vs Barcelona, I sat in the Barca end.

Following that, Spurs away in the League Cup. Superb night out. Apart from that and Spurs in the FA Cup, I think the only other away game I've clocked up is Norwich away.

Scrub that, I went to West Brom as well. What a legend Matty Harold was, even for one day!

Bit of a tie this one, Preston sticks in the memory for the sheer drama of the game but the win at Brum was hard to beat, a great evening.
