Intrigued by the eat street catering mentioned by the club. Looking on the net they seem to have a burger bar type thing in Feenan Highway and do the catering for Grays and Tilbury. Their stuff looks OK. Do fans in the West have access to it. Is it in a building in the north stand or their mobile which they seem to have.

I guess the club could do what Notts county did a few seasons ago. £5 a ticket and open most of the ground up for home fans, especially if the away support that day will be small.

Do some great deals for beer and food for early entry and get 9000 home fans in.

Seems strange to have it in the away end. Better food options than everywhere else.

Tom says above we have a certificate for just under 10k - I always thought we had a capacity of about 12.5k all seater?

Roots Hall capacity is 37,000- just checked my Rothman’s football yearbook 1985.

I’ve just looked through the pictures from the day, but none of them had a proper insight into what it looked like.

Steps crumbling away, seats missing, **** everywhere, filthy too. I can easily see why it wasn’t fit for purpose in the eyes of the powers that be.

CP tweeted something similar to what I put on here, as he sat in every seat at Roots Hall the day before. He’d be a better judge than me as he sat in those seats, whereas I ran past them.

Still remember that train ride home from work back in June, SUFC told to pay £1m by the NL. Never felt so low about the club and thought thats curtains!!

I'm assuming they will just open up the double gate at the back of the west stand and let west stand fans go down to use the bar. That would alleviate congestion away from the west stand bar and will make sure more fans are spending money. So many walk away from the bar, with their money still unspent because of how bad the traffic is in the west stand bar. I am hoping they do as I've stated.
