FA Trophy 3rd Round Draw - Brentwood Town (A) - Sat 7th Dec

No pubs near ground at all. I'd imagine the Brentwood Centre will open it's bar next door. But from memory that place is awful. So it will be a long walk or a cab if arriving by train.
doubt they will. the bar is only open these days for events at the brentwood centre. the are nothing to do with the football club. the club has a bar but its tiny so wont fit many in there and more likely to be used for officials from the club etc

The limited tickets there are, season ticket holders first priority? People who have been to away games?
If it is held at Brentwood with such a small allocation it would have to be a ballot of season ticket holders that want to go.
Can't see how you know who has been to an away game or not especially as the home clubs sell the away tickets.

Better nothing to play for than no club at all. I, for one, will never take the mighty Shrimpers for granted again. I'm just happy to have a club to support, even if it's a mediocre one. Only four months ago, there was no guarantee of that.
There is a difference between losing faith and losing perspective of where we have been. My issue is the former. I don't trust us to beat anybody right now.

I think the car park there gets busy with people using the swimming pool certainly not a good spot for a large crowd, especially after the game

the ground is next door to the Brentwood Centre near a housing area. some pubs but not that close

No, I think the nearest was on Ongar Road? Can’t remember what it’s called, but remember it was small and looked quite old fashioned. More towards the High St, than Doddinghurst Rd.

There is a ‘Spoons on the High St. though. And some other garish establishments (if a £20 cocktail takes your fancy)

Edit: After looking it up, the pub I was thinking of, is called Victoria Arms. There seems to be another pub down Ongar Rd too, called the Rising Sun. According to Google, both pubs are 20 and 25 minute walks to the ground… which isn’t exactly conducive for winter weather 😂

It was at Roots Hall. I’m sure a certain person on here will furnish you with all the facts and figures from that game! A memorable game in what many on here would surely agree was the most entertaining season in all my years of watching Southend.
