I'd imagine theres a huge amount to discuss, what with it being such a small venue. Allocations, pricing, segregation, policing etc.Any ideas when ticket details will be announced?

Early next week would be my guess.
Not allowed toAssuming we aren't in discussions to switch the game to Roots Hall?
another stupid rule , disadvantaging a small club from getting extra revenue. Not allowed to
What if the Police state they cant carry out the game at homeNot allowed to
I think it can only be moved on safety grounds but as they can have a capacity and host I don't see that happeningWhat if the Police state they cant carry out the game at home
I think if they swap the ground it has to be hosted at a neutral venue?I don't think we'd want to swap it to our ground. It would probably cost more only opening the East stand as how much interest will this generate? Floodlights Stewarding Policing etc all costs.
The problem i see is Brentwood want the local community to come support them on there big day so I don't think we'll get many tickets.
Just buy tickets off the Brentwood town website. This is going to virtually impossible to segregate. They get around 250 home fans most games, there is little interest in the club from the local community. They might get a couple of hundred more than normal but it will be a majority Southend fans in there. Apparently there is a meeting tomorrow regarding the fixture so maybe news over the weekendI don't think we'd want to swap it to our ground. It's not quite as black and white as that:Not allowed to
If memory serves me right the FA Cup tie against Canvey Island was meant to be played at Park Lane (but got switched).I think it can only be moved on safety grounds but as they can have a capacity and host I don't see that happening
They changed the rules for that a few years laterIf memory serves me right the FA Cup tie against Canvey Island was meant to be played at Park Lane (but got switched).
Like you, i was at that game & expected a bigger attendance. But that day West Ham were home to Man City & believe it or not, at that time the Hammers were 3rd in the old 1st Div!. So i presumed a number of local West Ham fans went to their game instead of supporting their local side ( Ilford )?.Was it Ilford away in the FA cup years and years ago when the rumours were of sell out crowd and massive police presence? and we went on to win 1.0 in from of about 1,000 if that. I wouldn't mind betting that most of the good people of Brentwood don't even know its on, or care.

It's the early round of the FA Trophy. We'd barely need 2,000 tickets for a home game let alone an away one.Hopefully, they might be able to get capacity to 3,000 and then give 2,000 to away fans.
Right there the best team in my time supporting SUFC. Other teams have come close, but none have been better.FA Cup 2nd Round
