Wonder if Mr Brown will treat it in a similar way to the JPT......:whistling: If so, and we have a non league one, we could easily be out!

Mr Brown was hired to get SUFC out of this accursed league, preferrably upwards not downwards , so i would think the 3 cup competitions would be of seconcary importance to him , especially with the small squad we have ,So if he did treat it like the JPT i for one would have no qualms about it.

Disagree. The FA Cup should always be treated with respect.

First and foremost there is the tradition of the great competition. Then you've got the notion of success breeding success and getting in to the (good) habit of winning. Finally, a decent run, a top side in the third round...we could do with the money!

are gurnsey still in the cup, what an away day that would be

They are out now anyway, but there was some talk about them having to play home cup games in England. Not sure what happened in the end. That might have been replays only.

Any obscure non-league team from the back of beyond away from home.

Although only two weeks to secure train tickets, so maybe not from too far away

Kidderminster (a), then this.

Mr Brown would have had a bigger budget to work with if he'd had a cup run.

I still standby his primary job is to get SUFC out of this division. look at all the negative threads last season about our jpt cup run ruining our promotion chances and may i say ultimately costing Sturrock his job.And Timlin his season and hes still not 100% fit.

What about the charmingly named Hartley Wintey of the Combined Counties League?

For selfish reasons, I would like Grimsby away.

Hartley Wintey are still in it having dumped Grays out 4-0. It would be like Wembley for them coming to the Mecca of football that is Roots Hall. :winking:

Hartley WintNey are still in it but they didn't beat Grays.

Their opponents in the next round, Daventry Town beat Grays.

Wintney out. As are Concord, Canvey, Heybridge and Hornchurch. Dartford still in after drawing with Ebbsfleet. Bishops Stortford too. Would like Daventry Town though.

Southend number 40 in the FA Cup draw. Hope for either #12, #52, #57, #59, #65, #67, #69, #72, #73, #79 or #80. Not too much to ask..

We will probably get a LG1 team or Daggers...
