I taped the draw today - took the girls out for a spot of lunch. Came back about 3.30pm. Made a lovely warm cup of tea; settled down on the sofa ready for the big draw. Had barely sipped my first bit and Morecambe came out. I shouted out to the wife.. "Any money, ball 40 next. You watch !!!"... Then Ray Parlour draws ball 40... Shouted obscenities at the TV and threw my tea down the sink..... The Magic of the FA Cup. My arse. Even if we were to get through that you know for certain we would draw Bury or Oldham or Rochdale away. I hate football sometimes...

Am laughing. Is a terrible draw in 2013. Who'd have thought?? We are the underdogs against mighty Morecambe F.C. Bloody hell, how times change. So let's say this goes to form, and we lose to Morecambe. We'll have gone out of all three cups this season at the first hurdle, with total crowds across the three games not much above 6,000. Zero prize money and b*gger all in gate receipts.

Last season we got to Wembley and we still had money trouble. How much worse could that be this season?!

Fingers crossed we nick it at Morecambe and get an easy 2nd round draw, and a plum 3rd round tie, but I'm not hopeful...
